Where Do New Signings Leave Jerome?; Zigic + another

I presume Zigic will be a starter every week and with Big Eck in the market for another striker (tried for Miccoli and now rumours for Robbie Keane). Where does this leave our Jerome? Will he be bench warming or will there be a formation where he will still play?

Possibly as an impact sub?

When the defence tires, get him on to have a run behind them

i think jerome and zigic would work great together. The other striiker we're looking for will be in the mould of chucho but more clinical. But i think they'll be a rotation system used for next season, but again i think jerome will be our top goalscorer next season, providing he gets his fair amount of minutes on the pitch

It might take some time to get Zigic up to Prem level fitness, like Michel. Other than that I think it'll have to be a case of he earns his place in the squad like everyone else has. I think still think Cam will be first name on the team sheet at the start of the season!

Leave him where he should, in a team that has plenty of competition for places... **thumbup

Unfortunately it leaves him asking for more money :(

It shouldn't make any difference to his team place. Blues are going to need pace and he provides that, either from the start or as a tactical change as sub. But, he has proves himself at Premier level, which other signing(s) have yet to do.

There is no reason why he shouldn't, imo, be in the starting line up in the new season, providing AM gives him a fair crack and doesn't automatically start with new signings.

Scoring 11 goals last season in the Premier League is no mean feat **thumbup

i hope jerome does get the chance with zigic to start

jerome sometimes got used as a target man, especially next to benitez, when he isn't that type of player

i think if given the same opportunity next year, jerome can get 12+ goals
