Before the match today, I drank in a few different pubs around Derby, and I got talking to a few Noses, and I must of heard from about 5 or 6 different people that we have had an 8million pound bid accepted for Robbie Keane?

I cant find it anywhere on the net, but saying that there was hardly any info, if any, when we signed Zigic, we only really heard about it when he was in Brum for the medical.

Does anyone know, or has anyone heard anything concrete?

Even if it were true, I seriously doubt Keane has the hunger nor the desire to play for a club of our stature.

He was a cracking player in his day but in all honesty I'd much rather see the money spent on the younger Dembélé, a player who would love make his mark in a blues shirt next season.

Id say a deffo no as harry was on tv today saying how he has impressed in pre season and he might have plans for keane this season, rubbishing the allegations he has offered Robbie Keane, David Bentley and Jermaine Jenas all for young from villa

Got to admit I've always rated and liked Robbie Keane but I heartily agree, Dembele would be money better spent **thumbup

Actually I rate Robbie Keane's 'Mrs' even more.....except for the legs

Harry is a salesman and is just bigging Keane up to get a decent price for him.
Can't see Keane being at Spurs come September, but doubt very much it will be to Blues.

I think you've got a wothy point there Bluebel. Harry is a master at using the media for his own benefit, particularly where transfers are concerned.

Saying that, I'd take transfer rumours from the terraces with a pinch of salt.

If he moves again that will be four clubs in two years. What does that tell us. Is he a bad influence in the dressing room? :(

From the impression I get from him, they dont get much more professional than Robbie Keane.

He went from Tottenham to Liverpool because they offered alot of money, then he didnt live up to their immediate expectations so he went back.

The stint at Celtic was a loan deal.

Surely if Tottenham were happy to have him back with open arms, surely that means he has a good character that people wanted to return to Tottenham?

oh come on Hootie, surely you're not suggesting he might not be injured... i mean just look at the picture above your post - you can see from that he's been suffering injury since his Liverpool days clearly!!!
