This may be a tad early but I'm too excited about the new season starting!! What does everyone think about the upcoming match? I think our boys will walk away from the Stadium of light with at least a 1-nill victory, 3 points in the bank to start a good year **thumbup
And I'm not exactly sure when anyone will know but what is the starting line-up for the match? predictions?

and according to this, Steve Bruce might not be the only familiar face at Sunderland on that day.

Have to be honest I think we'll lose, but only just...1-0 or 2-1, be nice to go and grab a draw though which we might just get.

Following on from our 8 defeats in 9 , I would suspect a defeat. We have had a close season since but to date we have only brought in 2 players to replace the outgoing 2 loanees.

And thanks Penguin. :banghead: Hart to Sunderland, I hope not.

Prediction 3-1 (3-0 if they get Joe Hart)

If we do get a draw or win then I will be a happy chappy after the game.

We will lose

Big Eck will go up there with a 451 formation and hope for a draw..

When we go a goal down he will change to 442 to try and salvage a point..

And as usual it will be too late..

I'd go with a draw, either 1-1 or 2-2.

The good thing that we have seem from pre season is that we can score more than a goal per game!

Certainly a goal in the game but I think it will be an average performance. Think like Pompey on the first day away a few seasons ago.

I will get a better look on Saturday, anyone going to the Mallorca game

If this happens, I will eat my own face live on the internet.

If Joe Hart had any chance of Manchester City letting him leave this season he would be a Blues player right now and Ben Foster would still be at Manchester United.

I'm not part of the positivity-or-death brigade. But a little bit of perspective wouldn't go amiss their buddy.

Confirmed on Sky as well

SB has made an inquiry to Man City to take Joe Hart on loan

http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11679_6294246,00.html

I think Mcleish and co will be extremely angry with Man City if this happens

They turned us down a 2nd loan spell for Hart at Blues did they not ??

So Brucie should go for Given on loan :LMAO:

Although he might be getting a bit close to the 8/25 home grown thingy.

- as Lowdham and myself agreed on another thread, how can Brucie be contemplating selling Furwrap to Ipswich and asking for a loan at the same time.

I mean he's already got Maik's understudy for NI.( Trevor Carson) - Why the need for a loan ?

But Man City could be the "nasty" club couldn't they, and refuse - then Brucie can say he tried and try and quell the growing dissatisfaction with him.

A bit like Sully going for Beckham and Henry when you think about it.

:D

After our response to them trying to take him back 2 weeks early, could you blame them if it turns out to be true?

 I doubt they care about us refusing that, does it matter how long of the season was left? He was our player for a season, simple as that.

PS Ive just gave Man city a bell and asked if they would consider loaning me joe hart. STOP THE PRESS!
