Don't forget adding to the match day experience will be the electronic advertising boards, slowly but surely this board are bringing this club upto where it should be.

Like it has been metioned time and time again, the trotter brothers were short sighted and only thought about themselves, lets face it this club has been crying out for this kind of attention for the last decade.

Happy days

Hopefully the Upper GM catering areas, even though they are small, won't be forgotten. Unless you leave about ten minutes before half time to get in the queue you stand a good chance of going hungry. I lose track of the amount of times I've stood in the queue at half time only for them to have sold out of any kind of hot food by the time I get to the front. They have usually sold out within about 5 minutes of the whistle blowing.

Also hopefully they will improve the quality of the food in general. I appreciate that you are always going to pay inflated prices, but the burgers are just vile, and £3.60 for a less than footlong. 1 cm thin frankfurter in a 6 inch dry bun...no ketchup, no mustard, no onions.. Wouldn't mind paying it if the food was half decent, but the burgers and dogs are on a par with the turgid rubbish those grimy old men used to serve up from the dodgy burger stands in the city centre, and there is a good reason they disappeared!

People moan about football not being for the 'average man' anymore, yet when they do go they want it to be like the royal albert hall surrounding the pitch.

:applause: :applause: totally agree.

sod all this corporate rubbish!

fair enough selling pints in the ground - bound to make money at a football ground, but stick all this "ooh the seats are comfy" "wow the toilets are big".

if you want surroundings like that you will pay for it in your ticket price!

5.50 for a pie & a pint is a deal?

it is in a football ground!!

£3.20 a pint is massively expensive - but its not really expensive in football ground terms.

No its not!! The average cost of a pint is around £2.80 in most pubs.

depends on the pubs you go to. maybe thats the case in Digbeth, but most pubs away from the city centre average about £2.50 for a pint of lager.

£3.20 is an overpriced price for a pint - although most football grounds charge that sort of price.

Whats the average price of a point in an entertainment venue then?
NEC? NIA? Edgbaston? Ville Park? 02 arena...you get the point. Not saying it's right, but thats life.

First of all you expect to pay a premium on standard prices because the services are a monopoly there. Just as long as they don't overdo it I accept it.

The pie and pint idea is great. I remember I first saw it at Hull. They had:

1/ early bird prices until 2pm to attract fans into the ground earlier and

2/ the pint were pre-poured so fans were served quicker. Now there was plenty of counter space there to do that and an organised queue to stop pilfering.

Word was that no professional caterer could make a success at Blues because the facilities was so poor. So have these improved? If not, how can we expect bringing it in-house will solve the problems?

I'll be well dis-chuffed at the Blackburn game if the catering lets me down and there are no shirts in the shop. Maybe we should have replaced Michael Dunford.

The royal George is right outside the tilton rd on the corner 30 secs walk, so why would anyone want to pay an extra £1.00 for a pint in the ground?,and there is always the chance the barrels will run dry, also as any beer drinker will tell you a pint always tastes better out of a glass instead of plastic **thumbup

The shirts not being available is unbelievable, am on hol next week and was looking forward to wearing the new home and away shirts but will have to make do with last seasons "no", at this rate we will be lucky to have them in time for christmas..
