Yep, I knew we'd miss him.

He was one of if not the best PL player for running at defenders and playing great balls.

I was gutted that we didn't pay to keep him. People say the £5m is too much (they'd have taken £5m) but they were judging him on the wrong qualities.

If we signed a 15-20 goal a season man we'd all say fair enough, but we haven't. We all loved Chucho. Shame he's gone.

What claptrap

We don't miss him at all .....neither do we need him

And how do you know his parent club would have taken only 5 million ?

Pure guessing and speculation at it's finest

Saw occassional glimpes of quality from him (when he wasn't on his backside) but he was nothing special and not one PL club or any other decent club side in Europe went in for him when we released him on the basisi that he was just not worth the huge financial risk

Some of those 'one on ones' with the keeper he missed last season were laughable and he just couldn't seem to get direction quite right with his shooting :D

Chucho was too lightweight for this league and his measely tally of 3 goals summed it all up

If we're going to drool over any of Blues' former foreign strikers who use to bring the crowd to their feet then Dugarry, Forssell and Zarate for sure but Chucho ?? .....Give me a break

Partisan lets not go there :copno:

Your opinions are valid just as the poster that made the post your refering to. Lets be honest chucho was an unknown talent to the prem but he had considerable pace and skill if he was facing you running with the ball.

Could we have done with his services yesterday I would have to say most definitely yes. For a start we can't play 442 at home because the current lot jerome the exception are not up to the task according to AM, so how can you justify your response?

But the reason he is not here or at another club is nothing to do with money, read the facts gang.

He scored again yesterday.

That's 11 goals in 10 games for Santos Laguna.
1 goal in 1 game for Ecuador.

Yes he should of gone round the keeper and scored but the threat is amazing, the way he gets the ball turns runs at you and makes things happen which we miss.

15-20 goals man??

Drogba wouldn't score 10 goals in our team, the problem most of the time isnt poor finishing its the dreadful service and 1 up front!

Jerome when he does come to get the ball its usually played out wide for him and no-one except Garnder decides to get their ar*e into gear and get into the box or support the lad.

having read some posts on here i have to disagree, as a team we create enough clear chances to score 2-3 goals a game and god knows how many half chances, zigic cant be juged so soon give the guy 90 mins for 2-3 games on the bounce at least! our strikers finishing is very poor, we went 1 on 1 yesterday and CJ failed to hit the target for gods sakes, that would of put us 1 up and its a different game.

i dont want chucho back and i dont care how many goals hes scored for who every because it isnt the premier league!!!!!!! he had hat fulls of chances but couldnt score it was too much pressure, i dont deny he was creative and gave us some threat in the final 3rd but to push on as a team he could only be a squad player!

i have faith in mcleish!

So he scored against Meixco. but how does that answer my question of what standard is the league he plays in??

Or are you saying because he scored against Mexico it makes him a good player.

People are making much of the fact he has scored 11 in ten games. to put it into some perspective we need to know at what standard he is playing at.
