Who could we get as a replacement who would do a better job than Jerome?

Chris O'Grady maybe?

Or swap for Tuncay at Stoke.
:ph43r:

Is that the Tuncay who has scored 18 goals in 78 appearances in the english leagues for stoke and middlesbrough?????

After staying silent when all the comments were coming in about jerome well ive changed my mind ,jerome gave us nothing again, when he jogged up to their keeper on numerous occasions the ball went up our end and a good 20 seconds before it went back up field but jerome was still just walking back, the guy just does not look like he is interested also i dont think he won a header all day and skill wise well lets say no more :banghead:

That miss was pathetic. Absolutely pathetic. He blew to points there.

But his seemingly lazy attitude worries me more.

Right after that he was 10 - 15 feet off side, WALKING back with his head down - when there was 90 seconds to go. If he were on side - maybe he could have scored.

Zig must be laughing knowing he will be starting ahead of this fellow when he settles.

A very, very black day for both!

Astonishingly negative team selection and tactics by the manager...

Shocking demonstration of the loan striker by Jerome...

knee jerk reactions? ive had the opinion that he offers us nothing for the last 18months. hes got away with his poor footballing ability for so long due to the fact he runs around and has more pace than anyone else in the team.

The best way I can sum up the arguments either way is that Jerome usually has a good ten minutes every game, like he did today (two assists no less), but I would say everyone's problem is that for the rest of the game, he is a passenger.

And our team is not good enough yet to have passengers for 80 minutes. :(

Just makes me laugh how the players who would actually die for the shirt in the yesteryear did it for a pittance compared to that overpaid waste of time.
Not at all interested in our club, I'd run my behind off into the ground for a chance at a shirt, he simply didn't care today.
I see a poster saying here comes the knee jerk reactions, lets be honest, Jerome has always been terrible, when he scored at Liverpool he was aiming for the corner flag.

I'm not going to say he's had his best game today, but some fans are so fickle that they'll be creaming themselves if he scores next week and calling for his inclusion in the England squad.

If anyones to blame its Kevin Friend, never a penalty and a ridiculosly soft free kick!

And if those 2 goals hadn't had gone in, would you all be saying the same about Jerome considering he did assist both our goals?

Knee jerk???? He's the new Emile Heskey. One 30yard drive vs Liverpool does not a striker make. He was clueless today and I'm convinved he only headed down to Gardner cos he didn't have the bottle to have a crack himself. I'd love him to prove me wrong, but let's face it, he had ample chance to do just that today and didn't.

Sell. Tomorrow.

New forward needed FFS.

We cannot rely on him. Shocking miss, all he had to do was lift it over the keeper.

Yer, grow up. He's a striker he's meant to bring goals to the team wether that means him scoring or setting up, and he set up the 2 we did score so did his job. The reason we drew is because of some shocking referee decisions not because Jerome missed a shot!

I'm actually a fan of Jerome but today he was very bad, got his assist so fair play to him but he needs to learn to come back from an offside position quicker and has to bury those type of chances.

Why was it that Jerome was walking back so many times. By doing that he cannot get involved in any play, therefore giving the bolton defenders more time. I know its difficult as a lone striker which is all the more reason to be 'in play' when the ball is knocked forward.
