Doesn't look good though does it?

Are these players capable of keeping us up? I think so, but what are we aiming for if we go into a campaign this thin?

No cohesion & we let Bolton take the initiative. All our previous games this season we've looked very poor at times, what's going on? I blame McLeish today, he should have changed things at the start of the 2nd half.

We're not playing well but picking up points. Sign of a good side, or just being a bit lucky?

Sign of some good players and team spirit.

A good side picks up points when it's playing badly. We have a very good side (who aren't playing well - except in short spells). What worries me is the lack of depth in the squad.

Carr is our best (only?) RB. Ridgewell, a CB by experience, is our best LB. If Carr's broken toe gets to the point where he cant play on, and one of either Ridgewell, Johnson or Dann picks up an injury, we are going to look threadbare. Worse if Ridgewell AND one of the central defenders get injured. Fahey doesn't have the ability to cover for Carr, and Murphy is (imo) awful.

Last season we were very fortunate with injuries and able to name an unchanged side for a lot of the season. If that luck runs out then I dont think we've got a strong enough squad to maintain our start to the season.

I cant believe that we are just days away from the window closing and still, realistically, need a LB, a RB, (either of whom must have the ability to deputise in central defence), a wide midfielder and possibly another striker - minimum. I hope the good start doesn't make us too complacent.
