I reckon today and tomorrow Mcleish is going to be working extremely hard in order to bring 1 or 2 new faces in.

We know we have funds available, due to the money ready to be used on Miccoli and Nzogbia, we also have the loan route if we can draft in some bodies for cover.

If we can get them in now, and then Mcleish would have two weeks to work with them before our next match, due to the International break.

Im still excited to see what happens, looks like it is gonna be a busy couple of days.

Keep the Faith people.

Lukey, I admire your optimism. I'm kind of thinking that nothing's going to happen, if previous transfer windows are anything to go by. I really hope I'm wrong and you're right though. :bluzz:

i just know that McLeish and the board will try as hard as they can to find some good players and try and get them in.

I know theres a lot of negativity banded around towards the board, or manager or whoever, but I respect the fact they have our best interests at heart, and I trust them to find the right players... I expect a lot of movement over the last two days full stop, not just Blues, but everyone... when people start moving, and replacing other players elsewhere, then we may capitalise on someone :)

Ala Fabiano to Spurs, Keane to us ?

etc.

I've never rated Keane, and even if I did he'd be our sixth striker. Width is the essential purchase in the next 27 hours.

Big Eck has all but ruled out any big money signings boys...i think you'll be disappointed.

McLeish added: “We are working on one or two things. But it’s going to be difficult to get another £9 million player, someone of that calibre, at this stage.

I wish he had said that from the start. We either dont have the money, or credentials as a club to sign these players. Thats why it rarely happens.

The signing of dugarry seems like a miracle...

Why would he say that from the start. He is only saying we wont be able to try and get another one at this late stage.

Its not like he hasnt tried to get a 9 million pound player in.

I think there will be signings, but we wont have a big money signing because i dont think the board could wrap one up in 6 or 7 hours.

Yeah, we'll try to lure zidane and cantona out of retirement, obviously, after a gallant effort it will all fall through at the last minute..

I'm with you Lukey, I think we'll see 2 new faces, the Spartak captain will be one and I hope the other is Babel. I do have a feeling though that we may not have heard the last of the Nzogbia episode despite what's being reported.

I do have a feeling though that we may not have heard the last of the Nzogbia episode despite what's being reported.

Knowing Big Mac, the possibility of N'Zogbia being signed by Blues has got the chance of a snowball in hell....
If N'Zogbia was signed by Blues could you imagine the reaction as he walked into the Dressing Room after the way he has treated the Manager, the Board and the Club?
The players would line up outside Big Mac's door and just ask if they behaved like the 'new kid on the block' could they get £45k per annum too!
There would be complete anarchy....

Even Martinez has said that going back to Wigan will be difficult for him - and that's to players who know him....
So what chance does he have at Blues?

Big Mac has established a mindset with the Blues' players and they know what is expected....
N'Zogbia just doesn't have that mindset - he's not a Team Player - he just looks after himself!

Bable of course is a different matter....
And it just may be that we will go back in for him **thumbup
