£3.5k? Really? I assume you mean per year? Or the rest of the debits are accrued in the pub? |

It's not that I don't believe you but do you have a link? Because The education minister was on the beeb yesterday and didn't describe it anything like that. |

not all students do mate - but not all doss either. There is too much stereotyping where people who work class all students as lazy and students say they work harder than the 9 - 5 brigade. There are lazy people in uni/college as there are in work and there are hard working dedicated people in both too...people say that by virtue of the fact someone gets to uni then they are a hard worker but that isnt the case, some are just gifted buit unfortunatley dont put the time in to use that gift to its maximum |

i don't know the total debt a student will raise during a year because that depends on their own circumstances. the tuition fees alone are around 3.5k. i'm currently doing my PGCE and thats what i'm paying if i remember correctly, or somewhere around that mark. |

A reasonable approximation of debt accrued is in the region of £7.5k p/y. So I'm looking at a debt somewhere round about 30k by the time I leave. :( |

i have around 25k from my under-grad degree and will then add on the loan i've taken to pay my tuition fess this time. luckily on the PGCE you get a 4k bursary so i won't need a loan to cover living expenses. will be looking at close to 30k by the timw i graduate. |
