Type of music - Easy listening. jazz Singer/Band - Ella Fitzgerald CD title - 100 Hits Legends Ella Ftzgerald Price - £4.99 as CD or as dowload from Amazon Why recommended - I don't think there has ever been such a good female singer and to get 100 classic hits for £4.99 is an absolute bargain |

i doubt very much that all 100 of them are classic hits though. i'd rather just have a greatest hits album with around 15 top quality songs then 100 tracks just to make up the numbers. |

Type of music - Pop Singer/Band - The Beach Boys CD title - Pet Sounds (side note: get the mono not stereo version) Price - not looked recently and various versions available Why recommended - quite simply the best album ever recorded. It covers all emotions and has a song for every circumstance from love songs to introspective melancholy songs to upbeat pop songs - the complete album in every way. There are simplistic passages, moments of incredible musical dexterity and it is a fine portrait of a slightly manic, definatley depressed, and undoubtably completley and utterly bonkers genius at work. |

Oh, but they are. I don't think there's a duff track amongst them. It really is excellent value. **thumbup |
