The above link reads:

Quote:

DERBY day destroyer Gabby Agbonlahor has given Birmingham City a boost – after the Villa striker was ruled out of Sunday’s Second City skirmish.

Agbonlahor has been the scourge of Villa’s fierce rivals in the last few season with three goals in the last four games – two of them winners.

But the Brummie striker’s recovery from a routine groin operation at the start of the month has taken longer than Villa expected.

Instead of just one match, Agbonlahor has now missed the defeats at Tottenham and Sunderland and the draw at home to Chelsea.

He will also be unavailable for tomorrow’s Carling Cup tie against Burnley at Villa Park.

His absence comes at a time when Villa are struggling to score goals with the claret and blues finding the net just nine times in the Premier League so far this season.

Agbonlahor scored in Villa’s 5-1 home win over Blues the season before last.

The 24-year-old has scored last gasp winners in the past two matches at St Andrew’s.

Posted this already but might as well again

Taken from 'Vile Chat'

Can anyone clarify which key players will be fit and which will be injured for the blues game?

Am I right in Saying that the following will miss the game?

A. L. Young
G. Agbonlahor
E. Heskey
S. Petrov
R. Dunne

Im worried. This is the first derby ive gone into for a long time where ive thought SHA could realistically get something

i would never underestimate them, and i wouldn't concern myself with players being out. we need to hit them at full pelt to beat them at Villa park

The most dislikeable, ugliest **** from the Darkside. I'm glad we don't have to look at the creep on sunday. Its a must not lose game, so would accept a typical negative Mcleish set up!

I agree that this is probably a bluff. We're supposed to lose heart when we discover him to be in the squad come sunday.

All the press over the last couple of days has changed their tune somewhat to "Agbonlahor might miss out"... the Mercury always jump on stories like this

Shame Agbonlahor isn't fit tbh. He's sh*te...far too overrated.

Think Heskey's going to be available though.
