once again i left St Andrews last night and walked to my car. win, lose or draw i absolutely love going to watch the Blues with my son, it's just a fantastic day/night out. yet after every game i see the same thing, gangs of Blues fans - i'd say late teens, early 20's - hanging around by the burger vans (opp the old bus station) just waiting to case trouble with opposition supporters. they were out in force again last night, scarves over their faces as if they were freedom fighters with one eye on the nearby police, some shouting abusive comments and men and women doing their job to protect, and the other eye waiting to bait the Brentford supporters. well let me tell you - and i hope some are reading this, or at least having it read to them, you're just loutish, childish idiots the lot of you and don't ever call yourselves Blues fans because i don't recognise you and neither should other decent supporters. and if you do post on here, do me a favour and don't bother any more because your opinion's not worth it if you think that trying to cause trouble - trouble i might add where innocent bystanders get hurt and injured - is a good night out then you disgust me! of course you're only any good in your groups and gangs - i tell you what, if you want to fight why don't you sign up and become real men and actually put your lives on the line instead of hiding behind each other's bravado! some moan about, what you call the 'Vilers' on here with their differing opinions but it's this lot we should be getting rid of - these people are a disgrace to this club! |

Well said :applause: I saw a bunch of lads all running out at the end of the match en masse ready to start a fight... They then saw the police and said "oh no, the feds are here", which made me laugh - a lot - mostly at how pathetic they all were. But it is really sad that it comes to this week in week out. So many clearly go along just for a fight. |

These lot do make me laugh at times, I mean when they are all there shouting etc then when some older bigger away fans see them they go running for the hills lol. I agree it has no place in football and why people would go to a game to just fight rather than actually watch and enjoy the game we all love is beyond me. Then again it also sums up their intelligence to be honest! |

Penguin -spot on post absolutely agree with you. I doubt they come on here for a bit of banter. They won't be able to read or write. I would imagine that the intimidating atmosphere could be putting some people off coming to matches. |

These are all cowards who would poo their skinny pants if caught on their own, 99% are sheep that hide behind the one or two nuters and run like ,,, if anyone starts running towards them. |

It must have done somthing good, because you didn't have gangs of kids fighting at football grounds in the fifties did you? Infact since they abolished it anti-social behaviour has got worse. ;) |

it's more to do with society today then football. Which is sad. But it happens at every club up and down the country. I'm not condoning it, but it's almost inevitable unfortunately. |

Couldn't belive how small the police were last night..Tiny little coppers and policewomen trying not to look frightned.. I was at the LG arena a few weeks ago for the boxing and there was a massive "ruck" in the seating, they were Blues fans, "well they spent the whole evening chanting Zulu Zulu"..anyhow we came out to a long line of police and I swear not one was over 5.8....One was east asian and I would say he was about 5.4 he looked ridiculous...If I pay tax I want proper sized OB...Not pc midgets!.... They are going to come unstuck one day unless they can get some bigger coppers in. If it kicked off in this country tommorow "and I mean kicked off all over" with the current climate. These lot would be next to usless I suppose they got rid of all the massive ex squaddies in the name of "diversity" It's about time some better solution was found to get away fans from the ground safely..It's a big problem, but letting them mix with Blues fans is asking for trouble unfortunatly.. |

But they ARE Blues fans. They will eventually grow out of looking for trouble/having a fight whilst following the Blues, and move on raising families ect.. In other words they will eventually grow up.. Get over it ffs :banghead: kro |

Yeah, they dropped the minimum height requirement years ago to encourage more Asian coppers. I agree it's not very encouraging when you see a supposed enforcer of the law and my wife could kick his backside. |

what absolute tosh Kev! i tell you what the next time one of our police officers gets injured, or an innocent passer by get's hurt, or worse, or perhaps the next time a family is having to bury their son/daughter because a fight's gone too far why don't you go round and console them all by telling them that it's just puberty these idiots are going through! they'll grow up and have families so all's well that ends well. people like this make me sick - they're a cancer on football and on this club and i don't want them here. why the hell should i have to shield my son from flying bricks just to get to the car? why the hell should i refuse to take him to a Blues v Villa match because i can't trust what will happen afterwards? instead of 'getting over it' i'd rather we named and shamed them, perhaps some of those who were involved and grew up would like to go first? should i put your name down Kev cos i know that i've watched my club for almost 40yrs and know i haven't been involved with violence like this ever - and am proud to say that! |

how very tiresome... am getting bored of this site, it's full of jerks who haven't got the nous to accept a difference of opinion, with the same old tactics applied - use sarcasm to stifle any opinion other than your own! such profound words from someone who only wants what he refers to as decent fans being allowed to post on a forum or enter St Andrews... The OP is a rant and offers no hint of debate...well Penguin if you have the nous to accept a different opinion then im happy to discuss what you imply as the most heinous of crimes... ps...i wasnt there or anywhere near it but i would suggest if Birmingham City were ever to get to Europe you do not consider making the trip. The young lads you refer to will be dealt with in no uncertain terms, anyone getting involved has a very short timespan in which to do so...those that beat up old ladies are harder to track down along with those that commit crime against children, acts of terrorism...drunk drivers..speeding motorists etc etc etc... |

Penguin relax mate. For a start bthat type of stuff has been going on since 66 or 67 so that is 44yrs! It takes a long time for that type of cultural (miss) behavior to dissapeer, but with better info/cctv/ police spotters etc it now means that any modern day perps are 90% likely to be caught. Desmond Morris the legendey TV anthropologist actually wrote a book about young male behaviour at football matches in the 70s and said 90% of the time it was glorified play fighting as seen in most of the animal kingdom. Anyway police are well on top of these young wannabees so chill out and enjoy the footy. KRO |

BNK Just read yr post mate absolutely spot on! Thats what happens you eventually grow up and leave that type of behaviour behind you. From my era of being involved late 1968/1975. Four of the worst perps are now. 1 A quite high profile public face of a well known and innovative childrens charity. 2. A well respected member of the country set and second in command of a warwickshire hunt. 3 One of Hong Kongs most authoritive voices on share speculation. 4 A professor with a double first who was part of the british govenments think tank sent to examine the democratic (or quasi democratic) system in Namibia Ok on the other side at least one is still performing and been in and out of jail but most teenagers to use a good oirish expression `CATCH THEMSELVES ON` KRO |
