The only solution I can think of is to let these a*seholes stay behind after the match and kick ****e out of one another on the pitch. The clubs can then pick up the bill and nobody else gets drawn into their mindless pathetic sad world. Of course this will never happen because in this country we protect the criminal first and the public second.
Why the hell should the club have to pick up the bill? If they want, here's a patch of waste ground. Hand over your Blues scarves and shirts and badges, because this has nothing to do with Birmingham City, and have at it. Meanwhile, the rest of us will get back to watching and talking about the game.
if people want to punch the rubbish out of each other, then that is their decision, but they should be able to do so in a way that does not negatively impact on the lives of others.
A sanctioned arena for this sort of activity might end up attracting bigger audiences than the game itself. The thing is that audience particpation could be active encouraged by distributing rocks and glass bottles to the people watching the fight, rather than the game.

I don't think Bumble is really able to read a post without twisting it to suit his argument.
It is half term this week in case you havent noticed, Hence the likes of Bumble who have nothing better to do.. Kro.
Go hide behind your mates shouting abuse and making hand gestures at the next couple of 15 year old away supporters.
Thank god half term is nearly over and the schools are back open on Monday..

I'm not a "hooligan" or a "thug" the last thought in my mind when going to a game is to kick the s*** out of a rival fan just because there wearing a diffrent shirt to mine.. HOWEVER
With me being a big lad, 6'4- 18 st, there has been more than a few occasions , Home and Away, Before and after games where 1 or 2 opposition fans have felt like testing out therir manhood, by looking for it with me,
Now 99 % of the time nothing happens because of the police pressence, but there has been more than a few times where it's kicked off, I'm going to defend myself like anybody else,
The point im trying to make is, You can get caught up in situations before or after the game where you've got no choice but to fight, and defend yourself,
Im sure a few more people on here have been in similar situations at the football.

You know whats ironic?
In a few of your posts you've referred to the hooligans as cowardly, and 'W*nkers'...
But you are sitting on an internet forum, and from where I am sitting, you arent really adding any constructive points to the debate in question, just posting derogatory messages aimed at the hooligans over the internet where you know that you would never have to explain your comments to anyone's face.
To call anybody a coward or a '******' without knowing who you are talking about, is so narrow-minded it is untrue.
Like a few people have mentioned, there are good people and bad people who get caught up in football violence, for all sorts of reasons, some easier to explain, some more detailed and complicated, that im sure not even they could explain why they do it.
I dont claim to know everything about the ins and outs of football hooliganism, but from my personal experiences of going to Blues games home and away for years and years, I dont think ive ever seen an innocent person get started on, ive actually seen one or two dads with Villa tops on, walk past the Kop and up past the Tilton with their sons straight after a game, and no-one has done anything to them? I have however, seen people mouth off and make gestures at people, and then act surprised when people react angrily to it. Like I said, im no expert, but I am a football fan, and I do believe that as long as you dont go looking for trouble, you wont find it.
Another thing, I have just read through a 7-page thread based on football hooligans and an under-lying theme of innocent people getting caught up in violence, and isnt it weird how there hasnt been a single post from anyone saying they have been attacked at a game, or know someone that has been attacked at a game? This thread has recieved 2197 views, and think with the sphere of acquaintances that all of those 2197 people combined, not one single person mentioned anyone they know getting unfairly attacked by fans?
I think this whole 'Seeing a few kids by a burger van' has spiralled out of control and has actually become a whole new conversation on what could happen at games, rather than the none-fictional facts that people havent actually seen these bad happenings go on...
All sorts of terrorists, murderers, thieves, acts of violence on women, all apparent in the world today, and stats will show you that these horrible crimes happen all over the world, and some people would rather condemn a few youths shouting abuse at a rival set of supporters

Let em get on with it away from all else. I bet if they telivised it, it would be a ratings smash! I've had a lot of fights in my time, mainly pubs but I'd really rather not have to. Much better to have a good old laff!

Unfortunately I've read through this whole thread twice - and I can't find out what happened.
Why does the OP want kids by the burger van - banned?
The issue of football violence and general anti-social behaviour is really a separate topic - but one thats took hold.
With regard to the topic - what actually happened - or has it been censored?

To put things into perspective people got criminal records yesterday for fighting Brentford after a mid-week cup match. Cannot see how its worth it.

If it is just a few kids by a burger van yelling a bit I feel we have all added to the exaggeration of the thread. :D

Funny you should say that, but when we played the vile on the tuesday night and won 3-0, it was close to kick off time, but I had not picked my MIB up from big Dave, so made my way down to where he used to stand. As I am a "mature" person I like to notice what goes on, saw these vile supporters swaggering up to the away end and as I was about to pass, one of them spat and tried to trip me over. I was ready and gave him a good kick. It was all over in a second, but that has been the only time in 60 odd years of watching Blues that I have felt threatened. Oh, tell a lie, there was also an occasion when the manure fans started to chuck bricks into the kop before it was all seats. Had my young son and one of his mates with me then, and that was pretty scary.

A lot of them have been watching green street and the football factory too many times..its one thing to stand firm for your club but to go out hell bent on causing mayhem is out of order..no..thats best left firmly in the 70s and 80,s. all I see home and away is the same **** you get on street corners giving it large because they are with their thick mates, football has made great strides in the last decade in stamping this garbage out and it needs sorting before it starts again, they are 99% kids with a few nutters egging them on from what I can see. i do power lifting twice a week and the biggest hardest blokes you could meet would never cause trouble at a football match...because 1...it's Boring and 2 They have grown up.

''It needs sorting again''... What exactly needs sorting Bumble?
You ask any BTP officer and they will tell you how much football hooliganism has declined, considering we have become the most-watched country in the world with all the CCTV about, many people have stopped their fighting purely because of the way the Police have clamped down on it.
Why is it that sometimes, people just want to be a martyr for a cause, even when it isnt that bad.
Again I stress, lets keep things in perspective, the thread started with a statement about a few youths shouting abuse at rival supporters standing next to a burger van, why the continual foul-mouthed rants on people you dont know?

I do not need to know them I can see them with my own eyes home and away and all I see is young **** throwing bricks and bottles and running like scared sheep when the opposition runs towards them, I really cannot understand why you bother to even stick up for this low-life, I can tell you one thing now though.................... if you do not stamp it out now it will increase slowley to what is happening in Europe I wasas chatting to the lady who is the assistant manager at the building society yesterday. She is in her early sixties, a Gooner and follows them everywhere. She was in Belgrade for the bottom's last Euro match and was telling me how bad the Partizan lot were and that whenever they go to Italy - especially Milan (Inter was the example she gave) the thugs are organised, bottles are piled up ready to be thrown at Gooners exiting the ground and so on. A couple of the group with which my friend travels are black and they have been targeted for specific abuse - monkey chants etc in numerous Euro destinations.

Stick up for these low-lifes???
How the Hell has a thread about a few teens going to a mid-week English cup game under the floodlights, having a burger after the game and shouting abuse at the away fans (The same thing you would do to away fans during the game), turned into a comparison with the Italians and Serbs, the two most extreme sets of football hooligans in the world right now.
You know what the leaders of these Foreign firms say about England? They mock the English football violence scene for how soft it is nowadays, and how it has massively declined.
All we can is do is focus on stuff happening in England, and the decline of football hooliganism has been huge over here, much more than you are making out!
The way this thread has gone through six degrees of separation is ridiculous!
From a few mouthy teenagers, it has gone to blood-thirsty Serbs!

I would love to know which football ground you have been to and watched people throwing bricks and bottles at people?
If you have personally seen this for yourself like you say, and had the time to stand there and watch them run away, then I assure you, you are going to the wrong places

Don't you just love sweeping generalisations.
I'd consider myself a polite, civilised adult but on the whole I don't really like "people", the human race is pretty shameful.
I never go out looking for trouble but give me a good enough reason to punch someone and I might just be tempted. :P

Another thing - - Quote:

its one thing to stand firm for your club but to go out hell bent on causing mayhem is out of order..
Arent you just contradicting yourself there? Many of the people 'causing mayhem' in your words, will be the people who will tell you that they are 'standing firm for their club'

Wow slow down sunshine, I am not talking about some kids behind a burger van I am talking about the real trouble that is starting to kick off amonst clubs this season, the fighting that was almost gone but is now starting to creep back into the game. and will grow and grow till it is as bad as Europe or the 60s or 70s, we cannot let this start to get out of hand like it did a couple of decades back, I was not comparing kids by a burger van to Europed finest just pointing out that we used to be worse than that lot and it is starting to rear it's ugly head again.

But HOW?! That is what im asking you and you keep glossing over the question.

If not than 1) Why even mention the Serbs in the thread if there is no comparison, and 2) You say its starting to rear its ugly head, but how? Where? When? I am still waiting for a report on some hideous brawl that has taken place, but you and a few others on the thread have slowly blown something out of proportion..
What has happened that you keep referring to? You've said it isnt anything to do with trouble on Foreign soil, so what are you going on about?
Im still waiting to hear about these epic brawls that you see ''at home and away all the time' where people throw bricks and bottles at people, and then run away..
Come on.. If you are gonna trash mouth people calling them 'W*nkers, cowards, lowlifes'', and drag the name of the beautiful game through the mud, then actually back up what youre saying, rather than just spouting off, purely for the sake of insulting people on a forum.

Hang on, the only people I am insulting are the mouthy ***ards at games. The only people I am insulting is the mindless ****** who cause trouble at games and many of them belive it or not are in their 30s or even older, why even do it unless you are some brain dead **** anyway, nothing is more sad and pathetic than a 30 year old shouting abuse at opposition fans, the game would be so much better without having to hear and watch these goons week after week.
