Personaly I'd like to see him finish out his contract then have him a good send off then sell him after the service he's given our club over his time at blues.

Blackburn Rovers want to sign Birmingham City's Danish winger Sebastian Larsson and Manchester City wonder boy John Guidetti in the first swoop with their new cash.

Rovers will be handed a £10 million transfer kitty injection once the VH Group, the Indian owners-in-waiting, get the go-ahead to take over at Ewood Park.

And the lowly outfit will have a strong chance of landing the pair, who are both on the books of Kentaro - the football agency who are close partners of VH in the Rovers project.

Former Arsenal prospect Larsson is set to quit St. Andrews when his contract expires in the summer, so the Blues may have to sell him to Rovers for around £1 million rather than lose him for nothing.

Larsson would be willing to sign a lucrative deal to stay in the Premier League on a long-term basis. He has been part of Alex McLeish's side but has yet to commit to a new deal.

West Ham are also interested in Larsson, but Rovers will start favourites for him if VH see through the takeover deal which is set to be concluded in the next week.

I hope we keep hold of Seb, still has plenty of potential and I feel he would be leaving on a sour note despite some good performances if he were to leave now.

I thought the article had abit of integrity, but it states that Larsson is Danish?! :LMAO:

If he leaves on a free or even for 1 million, then I will feel robbed, especially to a team like Blacburn, with all due respect to them, its nothing more than a sideways step for him.

I wouldn't take any notice of an article that calls him Danish. The owners of Blackburn have said they have £5 million to spend, not 10.

See what the papers have done here is put 2 + 2 together to make 412.

Player not signed new contract + same agent that's friends with Blackburn's new owners = going for free/cheap.

He's probably just "doing a Rooney". Every player will be pulling that trick from now on.

imho if Larsson stays all good but if he goes there are several players who could quite easily replace him.... its a game of opinions but i think if Larsson left and David Bentley came in i would be quite happy with that

If Seb goes we will not replace the accuracy for his set play free kicks and crosses, his transition for a more forward role on the right wing is still a work in porgress under Peter Grant. The diamond formation against Blackpool was the right tactical change for their opposition match. Our need for wing play has not reached furition yet. I believe that Seb Larrson will prove to be an asset on the right wing by the summer and will add this capacity to his aresenal of assist skills!

The Swede international should receive a wage more commersurate with other leading players in our squad IMO.

That all it takes to allow him to stay where he wants to be!

Seb was conspious by his abscence against Brentford in preparation for our game against the Vile on Sunday...!

We are deperately short of real pace in the team at the moment. Also we cant get round full backs. Seb is part of the problem and we wont get the chance to play him in a narrow mid field role very often ( eg Blackpool game)

I personally would sacrifice Seb despite his Beckham type strengths. He perhaps wants a fresh challenge any way so we both win. Thank you and good bye.

Sebs one of our better players. Pay him what he is worth. To replace him would cost us £5 million and more wages than he is on at the moment.

Would be foolish to sell him. A decent replacement would cost 5mil upwards. Not worth it. He's a brilliant servant to Blues and fits into McLeish's ethic.

Still blood Redmond in, but Seb's a definite keeper in my eyes.
