He's fit, he just come back from a long lay-off with no football, so was left to just play for the LA Galaxy, and not be considered for the England team. Capello had said he's not going to consider him, but went back on that I think. |

Would love nothing more than to seem him back in the England team! However, only if he could perform, as i wouldn't like to see him suffer :o |

What a patriot! and what a good player. Probably past it now but hated the condescending way Capello offered him one last hurrah! KRO |

He said he couldn't play for Everton as it's a bit close to home, what with him being a Man United fan....who could probably use him as it happens. |

I think he's well past it now, good player but not what England need now. We need young blood |

Becks is 35 now. Long serving Figo,Zidane,Maldini all left International football at 34. Roger Milla and Stan Matthews carried on at International level till they were 42. With another year of qualifying matches for the Euro's I would certainly put Becks in the squad, and play him when needed. Young blood is great, for speed. But it needs a brain to go with it - witness Lennon, Wright-Phillips and so forth. To me, Beckham at 38 would probably bring more to the team than Lampard Milner Barry. |
