With FIFA & Batter I think they dont like the way our Premier league is dominant & powerful all over the world.

Englands FA should start contacting other F.A's around the world who are p****d off with FIFA as we are and try and form a different governing body now.

Tell FIFA to **** off, bring in Goal line technology in England and do what we like in OUR game.

Has any one seen ESPN's Russian League Weekly highlights? It is dreadful. The stadias are almost empty. Moscow Spartak can only just about fill there own end leaving the rest empty. Not one team including the smaller clubs can fill there grounds, it's laughable. But seriously, it's nothing to do with the media allegations or the Blues - Villa spat, it's down to one man.

Sepp 'Bladder' Blatter. He has ruined the World Cup ever since he took over the presidency. He increased the number of teams to 32 for France '98 when 24 was just right, wanted a 16 team World Club tournament, even wanted the World Cup held every two years and never listens to any body else's ideas i.e. goal line technology but his own. He even had the audacity to remind his colleagues of the media allegations made before the voting took place right in front of our own Geoff Thompson. It was clear he did not want England to be awarded the right to host 2018 but Russia & giving it to Qatar for 2022. Oh come on, we might as well give 2026 to North Korea!

At South Africa he ruined it for everyone especially us after Lampard's goal was never given as it was well over the line right under 'Bladder's' nose 'cos of his downright stubborness. I remember vividly he was booed by the French supporters in 2003 after the Confederations Cup Final after Vivien Foe died whilst playing in the Summer heat a few days before. It was he who wanted to run these meaningless competitions thus killing the game making the footballers playing more than they should.

I hope other nations begin to think twice at what he & FIFA are playing at and follow England's lead by leaving FIFA altogther. Blatter & FIFA are rotten to the core. Fair Play? Do me a favour. I hope he drops dead before Brazil 2014.

If that is true then we should pull out of FIFA now.

agree with west heath blue, its our game. but one of the problems is, our very own fa are rubbish at the moment. i wrote to them with an idea about using 4 linesmen, just an idea, i pointed out how i thought it may work and they wrote back saying no can do you need to contact fifa. why could they not give some suggestions a go in say the first round of the league cup, who knows it may work. i remember back in the 70s in the watney cup you couldnt be offside outside the penalty area, they tried it and in their opinion it didnt work but at least they tried it. our fa have no backbone and we wont get anywhere with our present set up, no one likes us.

I'm beging to think FA stands for something else these days like.

We can do FA about it.

They've been a joke for years how people can run an institution like football and have no experience in the game baffles me.

May as well have monkeys running it for all the good they are.

When you think we have hosted it once in 1966 and since then the Germans have had it twice and are in the running again as well as Spain who hosted in 82--Are we not capable of holding the event? Even Mexico have hosted twice since England and they are virtually a third world country.

Its nothing to do with the fact that we cant hold it. We could put it on next week every thing is place.

Its just that we have to go and beg an organisation full of greedy corrupt swines who spend their lives being wined and dined and treated like royalty and are answerable to erm...........

If you withdraw from FIFA you can say goodbye to any player earning more than £100 a match.
If any player played in an outlawed league they could be sanctioned against representing their country.

And who exactly would England play ?

:LMAO:

So you don't have an England team. Why have Burton? or Academies, because pretty soon the Premier would be on a level with Blue Square Conference.

The best way to go forward is through legal means. Murdoch's press that more than anything secured our lack of support in voting - should now proceed through the courts. Take it out of Blatter's hands.
Secure convictions and begin an international call for a re-structure of FIFA and a new vote for 2022. POssibly 2018.

You can only do that by working within an organisation. Not turning yourself into an international leper of the football world.

I'm obviously upset we didn't get it but I can almost accept Russia getting it even with all their problems and the likelihood that corruption played a large part, but like other have said Qatar is the joke.

One thing for certain is something has to be done about FIFA now, Blatter is a power drunk old man who believes himself to be some sort of demigod, and it makes me feel physically sick that people like Jack Warner have a say in the world game.

Well, that's it. Sod it.

At the age of 78 years, I doubt very much if I'll be around for the next World Cup in my country.

What with Russia in 2018, Qatar in 2022, and looking like it's China 2026. I'll be 94 years.

surely the F.A has the grounds to sue FIFA. we've been led a merry dance spending millions of pounds when FIFA knew all along we had no chance. they could have said at the beginning they wanted to take the WC to a new territory.

If I was in the FA i'd also stop all funds going overseas. why should we pay millions to spread the word of football for FIFA when they !"£$ all over us. As a country we probably do more then any other in the 3rd world, why should we now we've been treated like this?

How many times can you contradict yourself in one thread :LMAO:

As it goes i dont begrudge anyone winning the right to stage the WC as long as its a fair fight.
They keep coming out with this rubbish about taking it to new places. Why lead bidding countries on in the first place eh instead of letting them waste 15million pounds.

Also the Aussies only recieved one vote but two FIFA members are claiming to have voted for them :LMAO:

You couldnt make it up.

Spartak fans are notorious for aggro.
A few hours before the Chelsea-Man United final in Moscow 2008, about 60 of them turned up at a pub in the centre where English fans of both clubs were mixing with each other enjoying a few beers. These young wide-eyed, neo-nazis turned up wearing gumshields, knuckle dusters, and proceeded to take the bar to pieces.

Headlines the next day? English hooligans cause unrest in city centre bar.

Independant.

'Ultra' football fans protest over shooting
By Shaun Walker in Moscow

Fans of Spartak Moscow football club have blocked one of the Russian capital's main thoroughfares and chanted nationalist slogans, demanding revenge, after one of the club's fans was killed by a migrant from the country's troubled North Caucasus.

Yegor Sviridov, a 28-year-old Spartak fan believed to be part of an "ultra" group, was with his friend, 25-year-old Dmitry Filatov on Sunday night, when the pair got into a fight with a group of men.

According to police reports, he was shot four times – including once in the head – and died, while Mr Filatov is currently in hospital with stomach injuries.

Yesterday, Aslan Cherkesov, the 26-year-old accused of firing the shots, was taken into custody. He claims that he was acting in self-defence, while Mr Sviridov's friends say that they were minding their own business when Mr Cherkesov and his friends attacked them.

Around 1000 fans of the club gathered outside a local prosecutor's office late on Tuesday evening to demand a probe into the death, fearing that the accused might be able to bribe his way out of a trial.

Things started off peacefully, with fans lighting candles in remembrance, but the meeting soon got out of control. Fans climbed onto cars, lit flares and blocked traffic on Leningradsky Prospekt, one of the capital's busiest roads. They chanted the nationalist slogan "Russia for Russians" before being dispersed by riot police.

Nationalist sentiment and violence among fans will be a concern for the country, which last week won the right to host the 2018 World Cup.

In the run up to the vote, Russian officials were furious that sections of the British media wrote about racism at Russian grounds, claiming that the problem was purely imaginary.

But there is no doubt that the game in Russia is often marred by clashes between fans. Fan groups, many of whom style themselves on the notorious English "firms" of the 1970s and 1980s, have a reputation for nationalist rhetoric.

A reporter visiting a game in Saransk, one of the 2018 host cities, saw a large group of fans give Nazi salutes during the match last month. Inside the stadiums on matchdays in the top division, hundreds of riot police stand guard to prevent any trouble. But outside, things can get nasty. Last month, around 1,000 fans of Zenit St Petersburg went on the rampage after they won the Russian Premier League. The fans clashed with police and vandalised bus stops.

Last month, over 100 Spartak fans were arrested after clashing with police during a Champions League tie with Olympique Marseille. The fiercest violence usually comes between fans of the Moscow club and migrants from the North Caucasus. The rivalry on the pitch is boosted by nationalist elements within the Moscow fanbase who oppose the large-scale migration from the poverty-stricken area to Moscow.

Away trips to football clubs based in the North Caucasus often result in fights. Aiden McGeady, Spartak's Irish international midfielder who signed for the club from Celtic last year, recalled a tough trip to Anzhi Makhachkala, in the restless republic of Dagestan, where an Islamic insurgency is raging. McGeady said it was worse than anything he'd seen during the bitterly contested Old Firm derbies between Rangers and Celtic.

"There was a big riot. I don't think it was the police and the Spartak fans. I don't know what happened," he said.

"Then I saw the Anzhi fans running up to the Spartak fans, tearing out seats and throwing them. It's a different world out there."

After the game, said McGeady, the team bus was pelted with stones by home fans and the Spartak players scrambled to hide on the floor.

Tuesday's demonstration was concluded without any major violence, but police are worried about further protests planned for the weekend.

Nobody should be unduly surprised about the level of violence and racism of Russian fans. Moscow streets have been an incredibly violent place for decades. A Nigerian friend of my parents was kicked into a coma by members of the 'Sigue Sigue Sputnik' street gang back in the late '70's.

**

Far be it for me to support FIFA, one of the world's most corrupt organizations, but can we please put a stop to all this "football's our game" nonsense? There is no reliable evidence anywhere that football was invented in Britain, and football-like games have been played all over the world for a couple of thousand years. The "Football's Coming Home" meme, was a key irritant for FIFA delegates.

Though I have to say, Blatter's assertion that football was invented in China is equally absurd. It gives us a big clue in to where he wants the 2026 games to be held.

Many apocryphal tales of tribesmen kicking their enemies heads around dating back to 1500BC - or even earlier like.

But they didn't have rules, regulations or teams.

Those were started in the UK - a mixture of rugby and football as we now know it - so yes.

Football, as an organised, competitive sport WAS started in the UK.

And on the Russia never won it before - simply because "Russia" never applied for it before - it was the old USSR that did, and as we can see today, that comprised over a dozen separate countries.

are you serious??

I may have read what you've said wrong (and if i have i apologise in advance)

BUT... you are suggesting to say we invented football is xenophobic??

If you are you need to look up the meaning of the word.

Football, as a sport, was standardised in England. Thats a FACT. Not xenophobia!
