They'd be a complete idiot..
but would have a pretty penny.. anyone think of what the odds would have been say.. a month ago?

Just a thought as I knew the story of him coming from caretaker manager and when he got sacked I was as shocked as anyone else..

Does anyone know why he was sacked? They were 11th at the time..

I dont but fair play to the castle fans for sticking by chris - there was a big only one chris hughton chant for ages before the game and an anti board protest

Yeah, and why not? He bought them from the fragile Newcastle we knew back a couple of years ago to a stable, confident and good club!

I dont think we've seen the last of him though!

Hughton's 'sack-price' varied from 15-1 to 20-1 last weekend.

The guy with the beard that writes for the Mail went into great details about how overnight Sunday and early Monday, money began pouring in on Hughton being sacked.
Some bookies were on the ball and laid it off but I think it was William Hill who smelled a rat and closed the book on Hughton about mid-day time. Monday afternoon it was announced he'd been dismissed.

By the ime the players knew at the training ground - all the bookies had closed their books on that bet.

It is suggested that the bets came from Ashley's big gambling mates - apparently casino's and horses are his major vice.
