Beef dripping that takes me back, you've never had chips if you've never had them fried in beef dripping.

You can't get it anymore because we were all too fat then, it's a good job they stopped it because otherwise we'd have an obesity problem today.  :D

I got some from my Dad's local butchers when I was back home in the summer. Made some Yorkshire puddings with it & they were lovely.
On the subject of what I had for my tea, rib-eye steak (with 2 fried eggs on top) & chips.

Steak ?

That seems a rather decent cut of meat to curry. Isn't it a bit tough after simmering in the pot for so long?

No mate , put a little bit of oil in a sauce pan, cook it until the meat is sealed ( make sure you turn it very frequently) drain most of the oil off, add sauce and chestnut mushrooms and let the sauce cook down and then serve on a bed of rice or in a bowl with nann bread and you have a tasty meal. :D

Don't you'll make me blush

I like to cook and I always go overboard with it, I feel a bit of a fraud if I just heat something up.

And plus it gives me something to do while the better half is doing all the homework with the kids. :D

This evening was a Marks & Spencer's steak and onion pasty(or slice?) with chips, onion rings and baked beans.

Aldi's version of Ben&Jerries ice cream for pudding!

Trying to use up what I have in my cupboard before I go home for Christmas, so I had spaghetti, sausage, mixed veg and my housemate very kindly supplied some pasta sauce because I've run out.

Was surprisingly nice considering I'm literally down to frozen stuff, pasta and bread at the moment. No point going shopping when I only need to make a couple of more meals though.

Spag Bol with salad on the side tonight.

To drink I have a protein shake (I'm into fitness) which tastes ok but I have to force myself to drink the whole thing.

3 hours ahead of you here so I've just had my tea.
I've just had borsch (beetroot soup), followed by some chicken tikka, washed down with a noble Russian vodka and a little black caviar.
