Just a thought guys. To those of you who still have parents give them all your love and care this Christmas. I lost my Mom & Dad before I was seven years old, I never knew what it was like to have my parents around at Christmas. This is my old man when he was in the army about 1943/45 Posted Image |

very very sad stories of people that should never be forgotten. my dad died 9 years ago, his ashes are scattered at the albion, my mom died 2 years ago and we still have her ashes as we dont really know what to do with them. one thing they cant take from us though is memories. and i treasure mine and regret nothing. when i am feeling sad i go on youtube and play, i,ll see you in my dreams, someone has done it as a tribute to george harrison and its very moveing. the words are very very good, its sang by joe brown. i dont know how to piy up a link but if anyone knows its well worth listening to. regards, one and all. maulley. |

My Mom God bless her is 86, I just took her to the hairdressers and did her shoppin for her while she was there. We lost our Dad in 96, never thought mom would get over it. But amazingly she soldiers on. He was my hero and role model, I think of him and all his comical ways every day. He was a great ball room dancer and every saturday I can imagine him judging strictly alongside Brucie & Len God Bless Dad KRO |

Though i've not lost anyone truly important in my life, as we have done every year... Remember bluenoses who have been and gone... Remember those who have fought for the freedom of our country... There are times when people forget but christmas time I think you should remember all those who have done good in the world as christmas may not be the same without them. |

I lost my Dad,(who introduced me to Blues in 1935) in 1966. Six days after his sixtieth birthday from cancer. My Mam carried on right up to 1998, at the age of 90. She died really of old age, everything just packed up. I lost my brother in 1987,(EXSAS) when he was only 52 years. His liver packed up through drink. The rest of us still soldier on, but all these anniversaries are remembered, when we all go together. Mam and Dad are buried in the same grave, with the epitaph "Together Again". |

My best mate/ ex-brother-in-law died a few months ago - he supported/entertained and helped me through a very nasty divorce and even though it was his sister who was divorcing me he remained my best friend. He was diagnosed with Bowel Cancer 18 months ago and to see him waste away in hospital was terrible. He was only 35 R.I.P Marc mate :Blues: |
