I remember him at Spurs........ good little player. Alway's reminded me of Bobby Charlton with his few strand's of hair blowing in the wind.

R.I.P Ralph.

Can only echo what everybody else has said on this thread.......

He was a loyal and genuine footballer of an era when many existed. The likes of which younger fans will never witness or get to appreciate.

RIP Ralph

thats very well put tarantini, its sad when you think of the young fans today missing out on the players of the 60s and early 70s, the loyalty, the honesty and the blood and thunder of it all. when you dusted yourself down and got up and gave it back. those days i am afraid are gone forever.
i phoned burnley to offer my condolencies and the switch board operator said it was appreciated and then held a long conversation with me about that very thing. she said obviously he would be sadly missed and that the last time they saw him was in august, then she talked about jeff astle, she did not me and all the players from around that time including osgood etc. it was great to hear someone answer the phone with knowledge of the game. well done burnley.

Probably the cheapest comment I've seen from you.

On what basis do you say that?

None?

Just a cheap jibe that ruined an honourable thread.

Ralph Coates RIP :applause:

Thank you Maulls for starting the thread :applause:
