Coming to the end of my current mobile phone contract and have been considering an iphone. I currently have a Nokia E63 (bit like a Blackberry) and for 15quid a month I get unlimited internet, unlimited texts and 70 anytime mins a month. Now I use this forum a lot from my mobile with no problems at all, anyone use this with the iphone and does it work okay? Also, the only thing stopping me getting one is that now I don't know of ANY networks offering unlimited internet for 15quid a month, if I wanted that on an iphone it would be £35... So any experience, advice etc would be much appreciated people **thumbup p.s. I've seen cheaper deals for an iphone that offer 500mb or 1gb of mobile internet - but I use A LOT more than that (every day at work  ) |

Worst phone I've ever had. If you want a gadget that does everything but not very well then the iphone is for you. Other wise, there's plenty of other much cheaper options that do a good overall job |

If i were you mate i would seriously check out the alternatives to the iphone before commiting to it. A few of us on here have the HTC desire which is a great bit of kit. a few friends of mine have the Desire hd which they say is far superior to the iphone4 I am on t mobile i get unlimited internet, unlimited texts and 600 mins for £30 a month and this site work just fine on the HTC. **thumbup |

i have a blackberry storm2 smartphone and it does everything an iphone does, but there's more to it in terms of any business applications. having said that i've had to send it back for "repair" twice as the touch-screen freezes up. on the other hand my daughter has the HTC and it is a truly stunning piece of kit, with more available apps than you could ever need - that will be my next phone 100% guaranteed, she's never had a single issue with it and the battery life is very good too |

But where do you live mate? BTW Did you know the iphone has trouble with 3gs connections in built up area's? Check what your connected to when in say Brum/London etc. Have to turn off 3gs on mine in London and central brum. My boys, who are also on Orange but don't have the shItephone, have no problems, funny that. Evertthing Apple is a triumph of marketing. |

I live in Devon in a pretty rural area, never had a problem with 3G or anything else. Both myself and the better half have them and never had a problem. I think it's down to the individual when it comes to phones. I think it depends on what you want from a phone, the iPhone does what I want so I'm happy with it. |

i've had iphone, HTC desire and recently a windows phone, however i have gone back to using my Iphone, i just find the apps far more versatile and far more used by my friends. Not using my iphone was like not being part of a club if that makes any sense. all in all my iphone is the best phone i've ever had, i got a 32 gig one, got all my tunes on it that i need, pictures, video'sof my family. I've even got a couple of TV series on it and a couple of movies |

Cheers for everyone's feedback, much appreciated! **thumbup Have quite a few friends who rave about the iphone but think I'll check the HTC desire out first (it's cheaper aswell). Hmm, decisions decisions... |

First and foremost I want it to be a phone, thats why I think it's ****. Secondly I want it to have gadgets, its good at them, but not as good as other phones.... BTW I won't mention the battery life, signal reception, the closed software, the 'turn a blind eye to its faults', the fact it's far more expensive than other models that do the same or more etc etc And you living rural will mean it can be used as a phone. I've just moved, a week ago, out of the city. And the phone works much better here, right up until I go back into brum :( |

Which windows phone did you have? Are you sure it was Windows Phone (good) and not Windows Mobile (bloody awful)? |

Each to their own, my works fine wherever I have been, some of your problems could be your service provider, I'm on o2 and that even works underground. I've used mine in brum , Exeter,Plymouth and even in a wood lol and never lost signal although 3G didn't work in the wood. If mine did the things you've mentioned I'd get a new phone. |
