I think some of you guys / dolls need to cut nm some slack.

He has produced a story that in part is 100% correct he has also come on here to clear up a few things where he is concerned and yet he is still berated.

He was the only journalist to break this story and it therefore shows me who is nearer to events at st andrews.

Gutted to lose Westley just hope the board have a reallstic plan because as noted on here terry is very respected in the game as a youth deveolpment coach and it will be a massive lost.

Yes Mate, I agree in part....
Credit for being the first to break the 'Westley is leaving' story. A perfectly legitimate bit of news. but...

.....No credit for trying to 'tart it up' by hinting that JM would be leaving because of it, when there was nothing of real substance to support it, IMHO of course.

1. Mr Moxley - first and foremost thank you for coming on here and expressing (1) your views and (2) your 'version of events' so to speak. It is not something you are obliged to do, nor something you had to do (as it goes i'm sorry in the circumstances you did have to come on here in this way).

2. The vitriol aimed at mr moxley is unneccessary, uncalled for and just down right blatanty rude! from so called 'aduts' you should be ashamed of yourselves.

3. People on here are the first to moan about the press and 'outsiders' perception about BCFC - However some of those same people 1. try and encourage blues fans to a protest by a group who have courted heaps of negative publicity 2. Invade the pitch against villa 3. Use flares at the villa game (after the trouble at the eariler game) 4. Constantlt slag off our fans, owners, club, merchandise, transfer activity, players etc 5. Use the sort of uncalled for names and accusations for people outside of the club (ie. mr moxley, ross, tatts etc - 2 of the 3 we definatley know come on here, the third - ross - probably does too).

4. There are too many clicks for my liking forming on here latley and too many people forming opinions of people, players etc very quickly. People will shoot soemone down in the blink of an eye for having a different opinion. People feel they have the right to judge and condem someone - judge, jury and executioner - that is not the point of this board and it is not your position on this board to do that - in fact it is no-ones position on here to judge people like some do.

I too was lead to believe Neil was a villa fan, I have since been corrected. I do however think he deserves a big appology from a few people on here - Alfred in particular (I wouldn't normally name names but since you seem to like to dress people down in public maybe thats the way you would like to be treated too). I doubt many of those will be willing or are man enough to actually provide the appology, mind im sure neil wont lose any sleep because of it.

While im not a religious man - in fact far from it - there are gems of truth in the bible, one of which I will leave you with

“Judge not, that you be not judged. For with the judgment you pronounce you will be judged, and with the measure you use it will be measured to you. Why do you see the speck that is in your brother's eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when there is the log in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother's eye."

Respect is at first given, however once lost, it is much harder to earn it a second time round.

I have now dismanted my horse.

fair play... too many clicks and people telling others what they should think and say are driving some good posters away!

I have to say I find the negativity on here tiresome and often try and generate some support or a positive thread... however this is not to say that I don't think the moaners have the right to moan, its just I'm sick of reading it!

Maybe it would be a good idea to have a moaners corner? So like the transfer gossip threads I can avoid

The respect for other posters bit, I absolutely agree.

Still think the JM part of the Mail editorial was an unnecessary 'tarting' up of the Westley story though; but that is as ever MHO.

Respect does not mean allowing another's words to go unchallenged simply because they are a 'name', it just means 'do it politely'.....IMHO. :drink:

I agree - if you dont like a journalist or a particular story but a journalist that is fine - however the is a way to make a point without personally attacking and attmpting to dress someone down behid the relative anonymityof the internet.

I had the pleasure of meeting colin as an example and spending a could of hours with him and he was a nice down to earth bloke, had a chat and a laugh - I have both praised his journalistic work in the past. However, I have also asked other times questions about interpretations and assumptions he seems to have made in storiesm yet I have not gone low and made personal comments about him like others have - it is simply rude and unecessary

I would how many people would repeat what they have said on here to neil in person, or who would have posted it if they thought he would have saw it - maybe he has family and friends who come on here, it cant be nice for them to see these type of things. I hate the whole "its only the internet so it doesnt matter" argument - if you call someone a twit face to face or on the internet it is the same thing

Im not saying crawl up each others behinds, im simply saying at least try to be civil to each other and 'outsiders' - however that request has been made twice already and ignored by some.

Right gents, if that is the correct term to use on this forum, Neil Moxley here, of the Daily Mail.............

Thirdly, not that I have to rattle my medals at anyone on here but - and whoever Alfred E Nueman is - should he wish to make himself known to my goodself before any Birmingham City game and engage in a friendly discussion to my face about my credentials to cover this football club, I suggest he goes to the St Andrew's Tavern about an hour before kick-off and asks to speak to Tommy Foley. Tommy will point him in my direction. I will not be there against Stoke - WBA is more newsworthy at this moment in time - try Newcastle on the Tuesday.
...........

Fine mate.

I will be the guy on a zimmer frame, but Thrasher, Slasher and Julian, will help me find you. They will deffinately "asks" to speak to a Tommy.

Gordon Bennett - how childish. :LMAO:

As you claim to be such a pro-blues man......

Quote:

New owners have come in promising the earth and have so far shown themselves to be little short of novices when it comes to football business.
Carson Yeung and his cohorts are trying to claw back £7m from former owners David Sullivan and David Gold. Fact.
They are questioning a £2.2m fee payable to Seymour Pierce, brokers for the above purchase. Yet they have been told by the High Court not to waste everyone’ s time appealing. They have now gone ahead and appealed.
A promised £20-40m splurge in the transfer market was almost correct. It turns out that they were only £36-38m out on that one.
Understandably, McLeish wants assurances that the club can match his ambition.
He has said he wants to stay put at St Andrew’s and - I quote - ‘there is nowhere else I would rather be.’   The former Rangers boss is certainly not on a salary that reflects the club’s ninth-placed position at the moment.
What do we hear from the boardroom? Words. But little action.
'Morale and ambition at this club has never been greater,' writes de facto managing director Peter Pannu.
Don't just talk about it, Pete. To coin a phrase from Jerry Maguire: 'Show me the money.'
The evidence so far shows little other than the Chinese having been naïve in their dealings.
If they’ve not been naïve, then I suggest that they start taking professional advice over the due diligence that surely was undertaken before someone, somewhere, handed over £80m to Sullivan and Gold.
The owners need to appropriate the funds necessary for McLeish in the transfer  market this summer; sort out his contract; either pay off or ensure that  further  squabbles are kept in-house with respect to their bills.

.........................

On Alex playing down Carling Cup hysteria amongst the fans - plus a little reminder, why not....?

Quote:

But Blues and Baggies fans aren't in it for.. ( my ed: glory). Blimey, if success was the criteria, we'd all support one of about three English clubs.
These punters want to see a trophy lifted. They want to be able to dream about a day out at Wembley where the spotlight falls upon them and their club.
And I'm telling Blues boss that he has called this wrong.
It might be a personal and professional disaster for him, personally, his players and some of those employed by the club if Birmingham City are relegated. So what? Blues have been relegated before. Down to the old Division Three not so long ago.

............................

On our new board..yet again..good supportive "pro-blues" journalism mate..........

Quote:

........it has to be pointed out that Birmingham's squad is pretty thin, despite the promised £20m-plus investment made by the Chinese. They have spent money and increased the salary limits - one source informed me that Hleb was earning in excess of £5m per year at Barcelona - although there is no suggestion that Blues are picking up all of his wages while he is on loan.
With other signings such as Gardner, Zigic, Foster and Jean Beausejour, the board have given McLeish funds to compete. The trouble is, those signings - for one reason or another - have not yet reaped reward.

Now, they were all done under your name. There's a ton of even more anti-blues stuff, snide digs, reminders of how better villa are, etc etc...done under the "Staff Reporter" get-out clause.

I'm glad you've joined this forum - honestly - on the 6th of February 2011.

Care to tell us, in terms of being honest, who you were before?

Tatts has always been up front and honest, has been a member of this forum for donkey's years.

You have joined, or re-joined under another name - yesterday....

Fair enough you are entitled to a response, what I can't see is how what you have quoted is slating the club? 1 piece is about the clubs finances, which everyone was talking about in the summer! 1 is an opinion which (unlike some seem to think is allowed) journos have!

1 thing I don't get is why people think asking questions or having an opinion means you are having a pop?

On the cup issue I would take a cup and relegation! Does that make me negative? I'm not saying I want it to happen. I want us to win the cup and stay up! But would love to see us win a cup!!

Right gents, if that is the correct term to use on this forum, Neil Moxley here, of the Daily Mail.

First, thing to say is (OMG) that story about Terry Westley appears to be true.

Secondly, contract negotiations with JM are still on-going. I understand that there are one or two sticking points over length of contract. However, at present, that deal remains unsigned.

Fourthly, I'm not anti-Blues, anti-Villa, anti-West Brom. I'm pro-Blues, pro-Villa, pro-WBA, Wolves and all the rest of them. However, if I see, hear or feel there are issues that need addressing or need saying, I'll address them. It's my job.

Fifthly, neither I or Colin Tattum are 'poodles' for this football club. Colin is a first-rate reporter who has Blues' best-interests at heart. He has to maintain relationships with employees at the club that he has to cover on a daily basis, yet try to balance that out by representing the supporters' voices. I am cut a bit more slack because I have other clubs on the patch that need to be covered. Also there is a difference between local and national coverage.

Finally, the people on here who glibly ***** about remarks like 'he's a s**t journalist' should try and wear the shoes. There's good and bad. Just like there are good and bad estate agents, solicitors, tyre-fitters and the rest. I may be in the former category. The fact I've been employed for the past 20 years in the business suggests I should have been found out by now. But, of course, that's a matter of opinion.

Right, I'm off for a cuppa. And to dig up some more stories that are patently wrong.
KRO fellas, (and ladies)

Why I don't like or trust a journo like him.

You don't like or trust him, yet you care so much about him, don't you.

Aren't you the fella that wanted to ban our away support so that, God forbid, your precious journos/papers couldn't publish anything untoward about us?

I can just imagine you getting all red faced reading his columns, frothing at the mouth at yet more unsubstantiated claims. I bet you couldn't wait to oust him in this thread, revelling in your own genius, as if you're the only person that's been clever enough to have seen through his disguise and dismissed DM "articles" as toilet fodder.

I detest the Daily Mail and all that it stands for but I don't see how you're in a position to patronise people about its credibility when you try so desperately to appease them. Why don't you try concentrating on what your own supporters have to say instead of getting bogged down in the London centric media, as a great deal of us neither worry nor care what they choose to report. Keep calm and carry on.

NO.

I suggested a non Away attendance at both Villa and St Andrews.
That is being considered by both clunbs and the WMP.

OK.

For the rest of your swaddle...????
What ?

You hate the Daily Mail...got that .

What do they say ?

We have had over 1200 members join this forum since the villa forums were closed. In that time period - August- Feb - we have had reptitive abuse about blues players, the manager or the board. Co-Incidence ?

As a regular, and stalwart of this forum, I have monitored the posts.

You want the figures mate ?

Anti- blues posts made by 23 different usernames during a match.

Every anti-blues post is countered by a pro-blues post....a few hours after a home match.... on a ratio of 3 -1.

Very little response from the 'active thread slaggers'.

I have tried to explain what our own supporters say... :o

Freudian slip mate ?
As you say "your supporters"....Gordon Bennett, didn't know you were so thick....

"bllue casual" .?????????

..WHO ARE YOU...???

"WHO ARE YOU"

This gets better by the hour. Your turn next Neil

This is yet more evidence that supports the claim that there isn't sufficent money available to take this club to the next level.

'This club'

Not 'our club', not 'the blues', not 'us'

"WHO ARE YOU"

What on earth are you babbling on about now, do you really enjoy the sound of your own voice that much?

I thought I had you figured out, here I was thinking it was journalists and newspapers that you were obsessed with but going by your last post it seems I can add vile supporters to that list.

I said why don’t you try concentrating on what your own supporters have to say rather than the media, and you go off talking about anti-blues posts on the forum by supposed vilers in disguise, is there something you’re not telling us?

Stop playing the condescending clown for a second and try to imagine that not all of us were born yesterday. Most of us are at an age now that we can work out who has what agenda, and subsequently choose to act as WE see fit, without the need to have an OPINION rammed down our throats by some elitist know-it-all.

and give up robert capa, try doing some research before you start kissing a*se.
