two stories in the space of a week really has made me think whether there is a set of rules for one club and another for the rest of us... and they both involve Arsenal. firstly Fabregas suggesting that Everton bought the referee at half-time in their game. i'm not a fan of Moyes but he seemed to have the decency not to bleat on about it, instead choosing to not reveal what had been said until Wenger came out and said he imagined it. well the ref was there so surely something should be said. i'm pretty certain that had this been another team / player / manager then it would have happened. then you've got another great young talent in Wilshere coming out and doing something similar on Twitter. the league really could have made a stand against players using Twitter but instead it seems that another blind eye has been turned. i don't want to see any footballer needlessly hauled up in front of the Premier League / FA but you have to set rules... yet Blackpool are fined £25k for fielding an under-strength team from within their squad of 25. it doesn't seem fair. :box: |

I'm surprised the clubs don't take a harsher line with players and twitter to be honest. Babel was fined for questioning the refs integrity, whereas Wilshere questioned the decisions didn't he? Did he not spot RVP and Chamakh diving against us? I'm sorry but it's a but bloody rich complaining about being on the end of bad decisions in one match while spending most of the season rolling round on the floor at the slightest touch. I don't see any of ur players coming out after the match on their twitter {lol at the thought of Stevie Carr sitting around 'tweeting' about his every move} whinging about reffing decisions, thank god. I'd believe Moyes over Wenger every day of the week. |
