Im not interested any more which is pretty sad really, I used to love watching us play whenever... we just seem to be a bunch of players thrown together and told to do something nowadays... no passion, no team spirit, nothing, which makes it hard to get the majority of fans to be interested.

That horrendous World Cup didnt help... and as for Capello, the guy says one thing, does another, and sticks with his favourites.

I'm begining to feel that way MF.

On a side like. I work this this looneytune(nice guy really, but you wouldn't get him round for dinner :D ).

He has this "theory" that certain crucial players from certain crucial teams were all 'got at' in the WC in South Africa.
Either through food or voodoo FGS (yep, he's serious).

His 'evidence' like is the collapse and disappearance with unkown maladies in the months following, of every 'crucial' player from Torres to Terry, Lampard to Gerrard, Rooney to Martins, Ronaldo to the whole Italian team :LMAO:

He thinks they were 'got at' and it took weeks/months for them to regain form. He bases this on the evidence that no one ever found out what was wrong with Terry/Gerrard when they had their pre-Christmas break. And Lumpard I suppose. Nothing physical ever found with them, probably fatigue.

This has got nowt to do with anything, but I thought I'd mention it in passing - :)

I wouldn't sing that tripe either. And yes I am proud of where I'm from, Birmingham and England but I don't see how singing a song about our monarch proves anything.

They know it **thumbup

Further north you go, the less inclined the player is to sing it.

Always been the same, I don't know why, but cockney's sang it like an OBE depeneded on it, midlands and northern players paid lip-service.

Check 1966 World Cup. Only Styles sang his heart out - both Charltons mumbled, like many these days. It's not as if anyone didn't know the words. :)

Not bothered who they play for.
This is England.

But, if it helps, any Villa player that does well for England, usually goes down the pan later.Sooner rather than later.

That's my recolletion from the years they shifted one or two through - Little and so on - none sustained, at England or their eventual club level.

Barry ? Not Villa player. Young Yes.
Bent Yes - but only played twice for Villa and 'Arry's mother could have scored that. :)

Don't worry, they will go back to villa, having been Super Internationals- and walk through the rest of the Season, as usual, for a villa player.

SOTV - keep the faith - ignore them.

Well, Hart wasn't.
Neither Johnson G, Dawson. Terry or Cole.

Neither Lampard, Wilstshere, Walcott or Rooney.

I make that 9 players non-Villa. With Milner and Young as subs???

You make it 2 current villa players and two ex-villa players.

Can you tell us the 9 players ?

:boohoo:
