No-one deserves to be injured and you should be ashamed of yourselves for deriving pleasure from this.

(Wow, keeping a straight face on the internet is really easy!)

I would laugh at anyone who just signed someone on loan and got injured straight off.

I never laugh at anyone's misfortunes like that. We are, after all, talking about someone's career.

It happened to us a few years back, and none of us were laughing then.

Quote:

On 31 August 2007, a one-year loan to Premier League side Birmingham City was agreed. Oubiña made his Birmingham debut on 15 September, as a late substitute against Bolton Wanderers. After 13 minutes of the next game, at Liverpool, he sustained an injury in a collision with Dirk Kuyt to his left anterior cruciate ligament, and was expected to be sidelined for at least six months.

On 9 February 2008, Oubiña's loan spell at Birmingham was cancelled by mutual consent, and he returned to Vigo to start his recovery. On 6 December, more than a year after his last appearance, he played four minutes in a 0–2 loss at UD Las Palmas, and played 15 games in all in the 2008–09 season. He relapsed in mid-September 2009, and underwent surgery in October preparatory to the planned reconstruction of his cruciate ligament in early 2010, after which he would miss the remainder of 2009–10.

I'd understand that sentiment if it was a very serious injury, but it's not. It's more of a laugh at the fact we were snubbed by him/things went down the swanny, he went to one of our rivals and promptly gets himself injured for 6 weeks. :ball:

Although I hate to see footballers pick up injuries this news does bring a little smile to my face because of the little digs he had at us whilst live on SSN! Beating westham was getting our own back on him & now this has topped it off. Maybe lightning does strike twice!

Just think of all those wages they must be paying him to have treatment, didn't they match his 85k a week or something to get his signature, lets see thats about 250k over 3 weeks!

That would put some fuel in Golds helicopter eh!!!

And yes I would take Martins over Keane anyday. **thumbup

Im not Jealous of that stadium one little bit, track in the middle of the pitch and the fans, taking away the West Ham atmosphere, I'd much rather have my St andrews.
