My dad missed the entire game today. He was queing from 7am and got his tickets just before 5pm.

The organisation was appalling. Surely this day in age there is a better way to sell tickets for Big games?

i was a more than a tad surprised when i asked for a £70 ticket in my chosen aera, the guy instead of tapping into a keyboard went through a pile of tickets in a box.now i know times are hard and the club is watching the pennies but surley the system could of been better run than that.

the tickets get sent to the club already printed. this is the only way they can do it.

When it comes to selling tickets for final games we are so so poorly organised, I rememeber the tickets for the Leyland Daf final went on sale when alot of fans were supporting the team away at Peterborough. Hopefully they will learn for the FA Cup Final

I happily stood in the queue from 5:50am this morning and got my tickets at 1:40pm(nearly 8 hours). I met a whole load of people that I would never otherwise have known and got to talk about times gone by, the current team and he upcoming trip to Wembley - quite enjoyed it really. Dashed home, said hello to the wife for 5 mins and then left for the game. Saw the boys battle really hard against a tough Stoke team and the goal machine Zigic net the winner. All other results went our way.

Sitting at home now with a beer and and a great Chilli Con Carne cooked by the good lady wife.

All in all a top day - There are plenty of people out there starving and not able to even dream of the joy of watching a Premiership or Carling Cup football match - Keep Right On and never forget just how lucky you are to be alive and have such trivial things as the main worries in your life

Have to say that's very well put eggman :applause:

In fairness to the club, they have given us season ticket holders five days. But, me included, we've all panicked a little, my reason was I wanted two £86 tickets in a certain block and row, and after over a six hour wait I got them. I could have gone down on Monday, but would I got what I wanted ?

KRO.

started queueing at 4.50 this morning thought that stewarding was very friendly and organised.expecting to get long delay as today was probably going to be busiest day.strange that club did sell on a match day.got my ticket at 10.15 and as previous posts have said met some top jolly bluenoses to have a laugh and banter with.all in all on personnal experience very well organised and then the boys grind out a result to match

Why would you miss a game to get a ticket you have got 5 days to get, bizarre? As for the organisation of selling the tickets being a sham, what tosh. The hold up is people taking their time picking their seats and a limited number of points to buy from. What do you think they can do magic up some more outlets!! If you want tickets for a final you have to que. It’s no surprise. :banghead:

Really don't understand why people are queing for 6 hours plus. I've got like 5 more days to get your ticket, plus bcfc have said that every season ticket holder is garrenteed a ticket! Why waste a prem league game agaisnt Stoke wen u could just pop in over next few days wen ques will be much shorter!

Worst thing Blues done was sell them today on matchday.

Also, why not say "Tilton season ticket holders" one day, Kop the next and so on.

Theres more than enough to go around season ticket holders really, to pick wherever they want at Wembley

This is what the villa did. Don't like to say it but we could learn a lot from their marketing etc

They also have to learn the Premier League is now global - not all fans live near StAndrews so not all can get to the stadium to purchase tickets.

While I still managed to get mine, many others didn't and thats unfair and silly.

Sorry even that lot weren't happy with the way tickets were sold

Hindsight is a wonderful thing

I've got mine queued early Friday morning

My mates going Wednesday let queues dwindle down

No method will please everyone

Even online selling there'll be issues

If your lucky to have a season ticket you'll get a ticket

Agree - apart from where you say with hindsight. I don't think our Club could have organised ticket sales any better than how they have.

There was no need for anyone to queue for so long yesterday. Season ticket holders had 5 days to get their guaranteed ticket. Besides why couldn't a large proportion of them have ordered online? I know of someone who queued for an hour, then used his phone to order online so was able to leave the queue and enjoy the rest of the day.

Many friends of mine ordered theirs online yesterday morning - most of them within a few minutes.

As for the person who said why not on a stand-by-stand basis. That would then upset the season ticket holders in the 3rd of 4th category down and asking why they are not first. You just cannot please everyone.

Oh - and for those of you who queued for 8 hours or more for the Kop - the Main Stand ticket office queue was a maximum of 2 hours.

This is true, I got mine online at 9:30 yesterday, but the blocks were very limited and the cat 2's sold out very quickly. The majority of tickets are only available on the phone or queue.

are they not going to add more tickets online? It seems crazy if they don't as this would be a way to help avoid the massive queues that were there yesterday.

As I understand it, they only release a certain number of tickets in each category, each day.

I wonder what the queues are like today? Next Sunday is going to be a big one too, with the ticket office only opening 10-4 that's potentially a hell of a lot of people to serve in 6 hours.

I wonder what will happen once it hits four O'Clock if there are people left queuing? Will they keep open unil the queue is gone but not let anyone else join or will it be a case of sorry its 4:00pm were closed, even though you have been stood in the queue for 6 hours and are next in line you're going to have to come back tomorrow with the 1 stub people.. who themselves will probably queue overnight.
