Starting ringing at 09:00.

Gave up in the end, did it online in just a few minutes.

You can do it online with 15 - as long as you have the client reference numbers & surnames to assign to the tickets

Using the phone to buy tickets when you know there will be hundreds of people doing it simultaneously is just plain daft and throwing money away. You should have queued up through the night. If your are from out of down you have enough notice to book a cheap rail / coach in advance.

You are just feathering the nest of those with an interest in the phone line. And why do you think X Factor only eliminate one per week? Answer: to extend the series so you phone more. And why did they introduce the eliminator? Answer: to get you to phone twice each week. There's a sucker born every minute.

Just a question for next week; I have. 2 stubs on my account and one stub I paid cash for on the day - I presume I can't phone up to get a ticket, especially if I want a cat. 1 if any are available!

Seriously? So you would rather stand outside and queue overnight or at least 6 hours in the cold than spend about £5.00 max on the phone queuing from the comfort and warmth of your home?

Or logging straight into the site and buying online within 4 minutes?

And you are calling those people suckers?

you should see the que's at the ground, we got there at 4.30 and were served by 9.30, but they are queing past the wateringhole island now, unbelivable.

I had to que as we were getting 30 tickest and to get them online or over the phone all togther would be a nightmare, i just gave the girl the tickets and the money and she gave me back the season tickest and match tickets when she was finished!

Is this for 30 ST holders?

Actually, knowing that there is potentially a 2-hour phone queue has made me glad now that I went to the ground in person. Mind you, I do have this irrational fear that I'd get to number 2 in the queue and then get cut off!

Anyway, well done to all who have their tickets, whether by visiting the ground, hanging on the telephone, or on line. To those who have yet to get theirs, be prepared for some long queues - but remember that when you're standing inside Wembley it will all have been worth it.

Bit late for some, but I've heard there's only a 5-minute phone queue if you book through Ticketmaster (who will add a surcharge). Hope this doesn't contravene forum rules. It is on the main site and says: 'Tickets booked through Ticketmaster will be subject to additional charges. '
