It was a scrappy game because of the way his team play football - or rather don't play! They play anything BUT football. Utter tosh.

After all their gamesmanship I am so glad we did them in the last minute.

maybe he should teach his players how to play a legitimate form of football

all you need to do to be a Stoke player is be 6 foot plus, be able to kick a ball in the air and elbow and push players out the way

Pulis complaining about the pitch. Stoke never use the pitch anyway except to run on.

They just throw the ball as far as they chuffing can. Have Stoke ever considered playing American football instead. They seem to have a half decent quarter back.

It wasnt the best game of football ever but we got the points.

Job done!!

:LMAO:

How would he or any of his players know what effect the turf has on the ball? None of them play it on the ground!

I agree that the turf needs re-doing, but I HATE managers who come up with stupid excuses.

And on top of that, I hate Pulis anyway. He's a whining chav, and if the Premier League were rid of him next season, I wouldnt care one little bit..

The same could be said about his American football side aswell

pitch? same for both teams, only one trying to actually use the surface. pulis is a poor loser and a poor footy manager although a great motivator.....i wouldn't watch stoke if it was free!!!

Stroke fan on a forum I post on saying that football is cruel sometimes, but we will definately go down as apart from Bentley we offer no attacking threat whatsoever.

Well it's keeping us just above water at the moment, how someone can watch a team beat their team and then say that they will definately go down is a tad baffling.

His interview made the 606 phone in guys and a bluenose that called up laugh. Him saying we played long balls up to zigics all game ..... coming from him is priceless.

He was prob just peed becuase we moved the advertising boards closer to the pitch.... stopped them playing like Arsenal that did.

Couldn’t believe it myself at first, but they have admitted to it in their own thread. How has it come to this?

Thought his best remark was to the Sky bloke (just watched Footie First taped last night) when he mentioned Zigic's goal.

Something like:
"Didn't you know about the threat from Zigic?"
"Nothing to do with Zigic, it was all about our goalie"

Maybe he should have said
"It all started with a rubbish kick-off at the beginning of the game"

Of course he can complain about the goalkeeper's failure to hold the ball but maybe he missed the quickness of Cam, his turn and cross and big Zig's leap above "tiny" Carew.

What an absolute plonker. He might as well have complained about the pitch stopping his side's silky passing. Oh, I forgot, he did. :D

I thought his comments were funny how can he seriously complain when his team are trying to make a new sport, somewhat a rugby football hybrid on yesterdays evidence.

The same, Carew, who proceeded to fling his arms in the face of Ridgewell in the said incident.

Im so glad we beat them and beat their anti-football style of play, it makes those 3 points all the sweeter!

I just hope we keep winding them up with last minute goals. I'd take last minute winners for the rest of the season and face down the criticism of the opposition manager who has some axe to grind against us.
