Totally agree with you about people in the main queue who got there last night...they should have allowed some of the people towards the front of the main Queue to go to garrison land first...my nephw and his mate got there at 6.ooam .

and they were out side the George ........ at 8 i said split up and on e go to the main stand as i had a hunch that this would happen....and there was just a few people waiting..

bad organisation again but as i say..its blues...the phone thing this morning was a joke why the hell couldnt they update the message for FFS!!!

If thats the case then fine, long as people are aware, wonder if the stewards who are there are telling people about the other ticket office?

Garrison Lane ticket office has been open all week for Cup Final tickets, with many fans commenting how it is easier and quicker.
The problem is that many younger fans have never been there; it was main ticket office before ground rebuild.

KRO

Must admit that is where I queued for the play off final tickets - have not got a very good memory but I thought that the kop ticket office was there in those days. If not sure someone will put me right.

Yes I knew you were - just can't remember whether both offices were open for the play off final - does not really matter now. But at least we do have two available places for tickets - if only it means that supporters should not have to wait too long!!

Got my 3 tickets. Started queuing at around 3.50am and was at the bus stop before the club shop. so it took me 3 hours of queuing once the office had opened.
Bit peeved about the garrison lane ticket office but I am going to Wembley so who gives a ****

Just got back, there's going to be trouble there today, absolutely ridiculous organisation. We got there at 6am and the queue had stretched from the TO all the way along the 'visitors wall' down the road toward the club shop, left down Tilton Rd, down to the George and left again down Garrison Lane is it? We got to the stage where we were about to go into the stadium which had generally been accepted as the 2+1/2hr remaining point when the steward told us that the next batch of 100 would be the last through, there was still literally a good 700 odd people still behind us at least who still haven't been told that they have no chance of getting tickets. I said to the stewards dont you think you better start informing these people? and they said 'would you like to be the one telling them?' haha talk about burying your head in the sand, they're going to have a lot of unhappy people on their hands in the next couple of hours.

Got mine anyway, one of our group was also trying to book over the phone and managed to bag our tickets before we got into the stadium, thank God, i still didn't we'd get them even though we were well down the queue.

Freezing cold, soaking wet, but going to Wembley :)

Why can't they keep it open? Pay somebody double time for Christs' sake, ridiculous.

Because it's against the law to trade after 4pm on a Sunday if open at 10am (6hrs max)

Sunday trading laws prohibit a certain type of business to open for more than 6 hours I believe.

Nonsense law.

just heard from a mate who is inside ground atm, that if you are on the premises before 4pm then they are allowed to serve you. Dont know how true this is but if you go to asda they dont close tills at 4pm, they close when everyone if off the premises.

If this is the case, then as long as everyone is inside the car park then surely the ticket office can stay open till all customers are served

My question is about the fans that are inside the stadium part of the queue, there's still a good 3 hour wait at that stage, will they be treated similar to a 'lock-in' seeing as they're already in? or could they be turned away at 4pm? imagine being that close then told no, gutting.

Edit: Partly answered by the post above.

some useless info on sunday trading ...

Small shops with a floor area of under and up to 280 square metres (3,000 square feet) may open if they wish to and are exempt from the Sunday Trading Act 1994

How big is the ticket office ???

What a joke bit of organisation by Blues.

It was obvious that the 2 stubs category would be the single-most biggest number....so they put it on sale on a restricted trading Sunday.

Its also a pretty convenient day for some folks to go and buy their tickets (maybe their only chance in some cases) so its a bit harsh having a go at the club when they are trying to do the right thing.

Maybe could have spread the 2 stubs over two or three days sales period but theyre a bit pushed for time now.

Breaking news

It is being reported that Cheryl Cole and Simon Cowell have left their judging positions on The X Factor.

Do you think this will have any effect as to what time the ticket office will open on Tuesday ?

I cannot see why people are moaning about the queue being smaller at the Garrison lane Ticket office. It has been advertised with the dates each allocation went on sale on the website that both offices where open. More fool the people that rocked up at 3am for not checking the other office queue before joining.

I got my tickets yesterday, 35 minutes I waited in the Queue compared to the 4 hours plus reported from the Kop office??

There is no big conspiracy & the Garrison Ticket office didn't have a queue for 2001 Worthington Final or the Play off Final??? It is not a new fangled concept, it is simple ignorance of the masses to see a queue & join it. lol

The queue by 11am at the Garrison was none existant, so much so, we took or 7 tickets back (which had been bought in 3 batches to exchange them for 7 together) Rocked upto the counter in 10 mins & away!!

Not sure what is supposed to be unfair here?? The club told everyone both offices are open the same, both selling all areas of the stadium, It has always been used for selling finals tickets in the past & has alway had much shorter queues! Always people on here looking for a whinge about summat eh!!!

Anyway!! Wem ber ley, Wem ber ley & I'm not p*ssed up as I am the deisgnated driver and we're going to Wem Ber ley, Wem Ber ley etc & so on.......
