Cant believe they've said not to queue, but they've said they've got some via telephone.

With people already holding for hours it's insane to announce this, they'll be 5000 people now trying to call that line.

Lets get this straight.

There are never 10'000 in the queue. That would stretch down past the George and all the way back across the canal bridge on Garrison Lane.

i would say you are right juke somebody is exaggerating .but a lot of people in the queue have more than 2 or 3 tickets so if the queue is 4k could well be 6-9k tickets required to satisfy them

I would presume before the club issue a statement like that the club will have sent a couple of stewards out to do a rough count and base it on 1 and a half tickets on average per person so maybe circa 3000 in the queue?

The club has probably played things safe issuing a statement this early.

Might well end up with a couple of hundred left over at the end of the day but they can be put to good use I am sure - worthy causes, anyone who kicks up a fuss on Thursday for instance.

Mind you, some people will still check the queue out about 4pm when they drive past and I wouldn't blame them.

that was my thinking aswell i left the ground at 10am and the main queue was half way down tilton rd and 2 wide the length of the KOP i would of said more like 2-3k than 10k but yes i would say the club are just trying to deter anybody else from turning up just in case they do runout

Like Ive said previously, once the queue dies down if anyone has stubs left and is unsure if they are valid, pop down about 5pm tonight and see if they work you can only try. Would be a shame if anyone missed out cos they were unsure.

the queue is huge, anyone past the BCFC kop metal gate towards the club shop might as well forget it and go home, it took me 5-6 hours to get from that gate to a ticket, absolutely disgracefully slow service, we need another big ticket office, horrible experience today, queued from 11:30 PM last night and got my ticket at 1PM today.

Just got back, 12 hours it took me to get from block 1 entrance to getting my ticket. Haven't looked in any of the other threads but when i got to the front they were still Garrison Lane people having access to the ticket office at a ratio of 3:1 main:garrison.

Also, such slow service, but i think it was always going to be, i spent 5 minutes there looking at things over computer, getting my ticket etc.

There was one bloke who went around 2/3 times with a clicker trying to work out how many tickets were needed, he must have had a very tough job today and i think he did quite well keeping it in order albeit slow but very orderly.

que sera sera... :dancer:

The queue has been cut off now and anyone left in it should get a ticket.

Should!

Why do we need a bigger ticket office? We hardly sell any tickets for our normal home matches!

Were the delays caused by the ticket office staff or the punters demanding this block, that row etc.?

Heaven forbid the customer would want to specify his seat location when he's paying up to £86 for a ticket!

Who knows, and basically who cares?
You're right when you say we don't need a bigger ticket office, but what's wrong with more personnel in the same ticket office with laptops?

When there's just a few remaining you get what you're given. You won't have the luxury to pick and choose.

I don't think we need a bigger ticket office but I don't really see why they can't put a couple of portakabins in the kop car park with maybe an additional 4 or 5 windows to sell tickets for things like cup finals. They don't need to be there all the time, just when there is massive demand for a fixture. Does anyone remember the ones we had next to the ticket office for collections 2 or 3 years ago?

That's all it takes and take on an extra few temps. Easy to organise and would reduce queue times massively.
