Yeah i was but atleast it was a sell out. The final has only proved how big...........and unloyal our fans base is. Was it not sullivan that said our fan base was over 350,000 that they have registered. That means were taking less than 10,000 to wembley and took 0.01% to west ham the other week  |

We've done this over and over. Complaining about an unloyal fanbase is pointless. It's like the manager of Sainsburys complaining that cutsomer are going to Tescos instead. It wont work all he can do is make is product as attractive as he can. People wanted to come and watch Blues at Wembley. This is greeat it shows there is potential for growth. So we need to be optimistic, positive and try to constantly improve. Those fans who want to be active will attend matches. People cant be emotionally blackmailed we dont want people coming to St Andrews under duress. We want people who want to come and enjoy the football. Some people who havent attended a match at St Andrews in a long time will think hey I will attend more matches in the future and their return is most welcome. :blues: |

Agreed Tony, Success breeds success, Fans will come back slowly but surely, having a pop at them will not help, but some love the ,im a better fan than you stuff, but all that does is annoy the hell out of long standing fans , Better style of play and of course better players is going to help, |

It's been an expensive old season too... Tonnes of home games in the cup (all but one so far?) and Birmingham has one of the highest unemployment rates in the UK... Veela fans all live out in the country and suburbs, so it doesn't surprise me at all that attendances are lower this season |

lets be honest we have not exactly been the best show in town over the last decade have we, you need to "entertain" people these days as money is short and football is soooo more expensive than it has ever been, play good entertaining football and people will come. |

Might be wrong but it looks like a fair few tickets are going to go on general sale. This is surprising if it does and gives us a little insight into how many folk are really prepared to follow the Blues. Agreed many folk can’t afford to go but for me it’s perhaps more severe than that. For the first time since I can remember it looks like our fan base has actually shrunk. God knows how many we would take to Wembley if we made the semis of the FA Cup. With the advent of streaming now in pubs and dodgy satellite perhaps becoming legal I believe it’s time to act. Just a few ideas Main Stand to be redeveloped now. Massive price drop for match days i.e. £10 for adults £5 for kids, £20 Family ticket. Olympic Gallery new away end. Season Tickets slashed Long standing project to entice new fans. New prices would entice not been for years fans back. New stand: Disabled area to be the best in the country. Fans having a bigger say in what happens at St Andrews. IMO Blues should exploit different revenue streams to offset the loss of the gate receipts; this would surely ensure packed houses back at St Andrews and also steel a march on the Vile. |

Chiltern totally disagree with dropping match day prices. Its Season tickets the club has to sell only in 2002/3 season the old board sold 21/22 thousand. WE should be looking to beat that figure. Look at every available way to sell these. for example aginst Villa /chelski/man u/ arsenal/spurs /liverpool/wolves/wba we are close to selling all away allocation so add that 4k to 23k season ticket holders and there are only a MAXIMUM of 2400 seats to sell. Rip the bottom out of people who want those tkts but make season tickets a bargain that fans cannpot say no to. imho price should reflect about 5X pay on the day..then the clamour to buy would be overwealming. Obviously it would reduce the gate receipts massively but the club needs to explore alternative revenue streams to make good the difference. KRO |

The price of a childs season ticket at Bolton - similar in size / stature to Blues - is £49 for all areas of the ground - 64% reduction on previous seasons. We need to look at initiatives like this to make it affordable for families to attend games. Our facilities are poor (although improving) and getting to and from the ground can be difficult. Then there's the menace of some sections of supporters - sorry to say but it's there and people are put off when your own supporters just cannot hold their beer or know how to behave. I'm not saying drinking should be banned but of we can make other areas of the ground affordable and, dare I say it, more desirable and accessible then it'll make St Andrews a place more supporters and families want to visit. Oh and the football helps too! |
