We wouldn't be blue noses if there was a slight bit of us, then were negative about our chances. We just have to keeping thinking that so if we win, or when we win that is ;) we'll be rocking Wembley. But if we go in there positive that we win and hate to say it, lose, there will be bits of us that will be disappointed. When infact all of us know we've done well to be in this position. Ah well too bad I couldn't get a ticket. Have a good day on Sunday and KRO. |

If we get 100% out of every player involved, then I dont see why not... we may need to ride our luck at times, and have a few good saves from Foster (just like the 1-0 win over Chelsea).. but it can be done! |

Any one team can beat any other on the day. Be they local, non league, Premier league or International teams. 11 v 11 Of course Arsenal are the favourites, and rightly so, they have quality players that play good attacking football. We are a hardworking team that grind results out. With a bit of luck you never know, and we have more chance than Villa winning it....lol |

We definitely have a very good chance of beating them especially if van persie, fabregas and walcott don't play. |

Im not suprisedm by all the negativity on this thread... After all that's what this forum is generally known for these days The truth.... Well Arsenal are better than us, to put it simply.. But it's not always the best team that wins the final, We will be massively up for it... All the pressure is on arsenal, with a bit of luck, and a, strong referee, we have got a chance. We can certainly hurt them on set pieces, and balls into the box, which Is why im certain zigic will play, he showed he can hurt them with his goal at the emirates. We will go 4-5-1, because playing 4-4-2 on a big open pitch like wembley against arsenal they will go right through us. Our game plan should be to keep it tight, make it difficult for arsenal to find space in the midfield to pass through us, and try and get forward when we can, set pieces etc. I see a very tight game, 1-1 going into extra time. The main thing is, that the lads give absolutley everything and walk off the pitch with no regrets... that's all you can ask for. Kro |

Just hope we can come out sharp and alert forcing them into errors. Do this and the pressure will build on them with the crowd groans ringing in their ears from their lot and roars of approval from the blues contingent our 12th man we will win. |

Realistically, Blues are unlikely to win, and are big underdogs with the bookmakers for a reason at about 9/2, but there's been bigger shocks this season at much bigger odds. Blackpool winning a host of games that they weren't expected to, Wolves beating Man Utd, Arsenal failing to beat Leyton Orient and Ipswich, and of course Blues beating Chelsea. So it's unlikely, but not certainly not impossible. |

Arsenal are certainly favourites, but one of their assets I most feared was Walcott, because Ridgewell is a gutsy, solid player, but not a speed merchant; it feels wrong to 'celebrate' a player's misfortune, but I think Blues have a better chance without him on the pitch. |

Of course there is a chance we could win, theres also a very good chance we wont't. However in some games guts and battling can earn you a result against better footballing sides, look at points we got at anfield, stamford bridge, at home to arsenal, lverpool, chelsea over the last few years. We were almost always outplayed but with a bit of luck we can get a result. Liverpool in 2001 we were nowhere near Liverpool in quality and pushed them all the way, i think we are a closer level to arsenal now then we were to liverpool then. All we need is abot of luck and our chances to go in. Anybody can beat anybody on their day thats proven this season especially. |

We can win. Of course we can. It's a two horse race. Arguably Arsenal have the ability, at their best, to be Red Rum, and at our worst we're like of of those Donkey's off Blackpool beach. So it could be a total mismatch and we could be thrashed. On the other hand, if they're below par and everything clicks for us, it is likely to be a far more even contest. Then it's down to whoever takes their chances. In my heart it's a one-nil victory to us, with an injury time winner from Ziggy. In my head, .....it's another result altogether. Whatever happens - it'll be a great day out. :wembley2: :wembley2: :wembley2: |

If we keep it 0-0 for first half hour and keep the pressure to a maximum I think we'll nick in the last 15 minutes 1-0. (Zigic from a corner !!!). There is far more pressure on them and the longer it goes without them scoring the more likely Blues are to build confidence. We have the right manager to win this he guided Rangers in games against Celtic that were powderkeg pressure finals. I'ii think we'll grab our chance with two hands and embrace it !!!!!!!!! Maybe a double in May !!!!!!!! :kro: :blues: *drumroll* |

Of course we can, just get in their faces, a few crunching tackles and a couple of goals from Craigy boy and we'll bring the cup home. What Alex needs to do is have a 442 mentality, it's pointless going there with the intention of defending, being afraid to concede, if we do that were playing into their hands, in the words of dads army "they don't like it up em". |

It would be ironic if, after actually taking the Carling Cup seriously for once, Arsenal were forced to field a weakened side in this season's final. But that could well be the case when the Gunners face Birmingham City at Wembley on Sunday after they were left licking their wounds following last night's 1-0 win over Stoke City. If this happens maybe http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/football/ear...article/315394/ |

We have to win to get into europe i'm afraid mate it's only the runners up of the FA Cup final that get into europe (as long as the winners have got into europe via the league) Going back to the original question - can we win it?? Hell yes we can It's 11 v 11 and we have a team of leaders and men out on the pitch we wont go down without a fight its just not in our nature (apart from the man utd game!) ok they have some big name players out, but we are fully rested and don't have 1 eye on a little game against barca a few days later the final is ours to lose not for arsenal to win COME ON YOU BLUE BOYS |

Of course we can win! And if the winning goal comes from our only foray up front and it goes in off a defender's ear in the 93rd minute, than so be it! |
