Tom Ross said in the mail that he wished his old man was still around to take him on Sunday, and I know lots of us have people we wish could be around to share in a great day for all Blue Noses. So as a celebration of our loved and missed Nose's on here lets share the people we will miss that little bit more on Sunday.

Grandad Joe Hillstead
Grandad Ivor Jenkins
Uncle Paul Jenkins
Uncle Colin Hillstead
Luke Plimmer

Just a mark of respect and and to say 'wish you were here with us for this one'

For years and years, my grandad would take my mum to St Andrews, and all over the country, to watch our boys play...whether it was home games, away games, or queuing up overnight for tickets for Semi Finals or whatnot, theyd both do it together and not kick up a fuss, and love every minute of it.

My mum got into nursing, and then had to pick and choose her games to fit around her schedule, but my grandad kept going to cheer us on, for the pair of them until the tragic day that he passed away, in St Andrews, at the Railway end, prior to a game against Liverpool, when we ended up beating them 4-1.

He's the one I wish id met, talking football in the pub and what not, but I wasnt born for another 20 odd years after this all happened.

My mum stopped going altogether as she didnt want to go on her own to do the thing she 'shared with dad', and was a bit wary of everything, considering what had happened down there... until I come along, and she started to take me down instead, the love for the game soon came back, and the rest, as they say, is history!

So heres to you Grandad Reg... I wish I couldve met you, but I know for certain, your gonna be at Wembley with us on Sunday, theres no way youd miss it for the world!

Would have loved to have met my Grandad who won the pools just before the 1931 Cup Final and spent the money on the trip to Wembley.
He was killed in the Coventry Blitz.
I'll be thinking of him and my Dad.

My Mom and Dad - it was our dream to go to wembley as a family - my Mom died a year ago on Friday and I will carry some of her ashes with me to sprinkle around Wembley. I will wear my Dad's scarf (he wore it to the Leyland Daf final). I am an expat and did not make back for that one. I will be back for the game on Sunday having used every connection I have developed over the years to get two tickets (one for me and one for my son). One of my lifes ambitions will be realised if I do indeed make it there Sunday after my flight and trip half way around the UK to collect the tickets - for all absent Blue noses this will be our day.

My dad Kenneth William Duffy who died on Sunday 19th April 2009.

He took me to my first game at home to ManU in 1973.

He did national service in 56 so he missed us getting there then.

The scarf and flag that were draped over his coffin (as it disappeared behind the curtain) will be coming with me.

I won't miss him, he'll be there with me, at the end of the road.

Grandad John Smith, I was lucky to be the only one of my cousins to meet him before he sadly passed away when I was 6 months old.

I have him to thank for passing his Blue genes on to my father, who in turn has passed them to me.

Me and my dad will be there, its going to be emotional, and I know we ca do it, with the help from all our family in Blue Heaven, and their family in the stand.

We will outsing them, out passion them, and I have a feeling most of the country will be behind us.

C'mon Blues, show the world that real, passionate, heart on sleeve football is not dead.
