Fantastic !

Bet the Vile aren't happy with Kermits team selection. I see Ashley "just taking a dive" Young is sat on the bench !

2-0 now to a team that ends "City"

Balotelli with a beautiful finish after the Inbreeds tried an offside trap that failed miserably

This could be another rout

Arsenal also 2-0 up (Chamakh and Bendtner)

I guess the hangover has worn off

Notice Arsene changed his entire back four and put Almunia back in goal.....The defender who made the error Sunday was dropped from the squad

Guess we forced those changes, eh ??? :blues: :blues:

Surely they would've wanted to "go for it" with a full strength team ?

City have left Tevez out and with Reading waiting you'd have thought they'd have wanted this.

Oh well, they're resting players for their Champions League push then

Another Nik Bendtner goal sees The Gunners go in 3-0 at HT

Looks like the tie of the 6th round will be Man unted v Gooners....it's an evening kick off after our lunchtime game with Bolton

We could be the first club into the semi finals **thumbup

City look a full strength side and obviously need the FA cup, why has houiller just give up on it?....he will be slated by vile fans tommorow.

In all honesty their kids are showing more heart than the senior professionals....Bannan has been their best performer

That new signing Bradley was awful

Is it me or is Delfonso modelling hmself to be the next Cameron Jerome clone ??

Game over....3-0 :applause:

Manchester City will be wondering how it was that 'eazzeee'

Vile fans going ballistic at Houliier.......He certainly didn't have any respect for the trophy with his team selection and his comments about wanting to win it are now laughable

I guess he sees a vital relegation battle at Bolton on Saturday as much more important

From BBC Live

Quote:

2115: Anyone think Gerard Houllier should be fined for disrespecting the FA Cup tonight? Villa have just brought on Stewart Downing and Ashley Young - at 3-0 down away at Manchester City. Utterly ridiculous.

City goal: Oh Villa. You broke the FA Cup's heart tonight, you truly did. Man City wrap it up as Pablo Zabaleta plays a neat one-two and crosses from the right and when Chris Herd's header falls to David Silva right on the edge of the penalty area, the Spaniard takes a touch and rifles a low drive past Brad Friedel.

2128: Ashley Young has a free-kick 20 yards out, just to the right, but he smashes it miles over the bar. The Villa fans behind the goal refuse to give the ball back - they ***** it around among themselves, much to their own delight. Fair play to them - they've had to travel a long way and watch rubbish this evening from their team.

Fair play to the fans for having a laugh at least, I wouldn't be too impressed if I'd gone to Manchester on a weekday evening to watch the reserves get beaten with ease.

Great result. Just shows they have no ambition. Terrible team selection what a missed opportunity at this stage of the competition.

Unforgivable. Worse than us at pompey last year.

They wont go down and they wont finish in a europa place, so what did they have to lose? Shocking.

"The FA Cup is an opportunity, although it is not the easiest of the games against Man City.

"But I have got the squad now, players who know what we want to do. Whoever plays, I'll be happy and I know we've got a good chance."

After Birmingham's victory, Houllier added it would be great for the Second City if Villa could also end the campaign with a trophy.

"I'm pleased for Alex McLeish because he is a good man, I've known him for a long time and well done to them.

"It has been their year in the cup. If we could win the FA Cup that would be fantastic because it would mean two cups in the same city.

"We will win things, I know that for sure. It is not the fact our rivals have won something that is going to change my mind about what we are doing here."

Oh dear! No cup runs for Villa this year, awful performance in Europe, mid table finish at BEST for the league, what a poor poor season for Vile! We are doing much better, goes to show how far we have come in recent years! :applause: :dancer: :blues:
