exactly - yet again our Man of the Match was a keeper...tells a million stories..we fluked it again...Mcleish was a luck lucky man...we could have quite easily lost that 4 or 5 - 2 if it were not for Foster

Which is why McLeish spent six million quid on him, for just that reason.

So yes, McLeish can take the credit. As can the whole of the team.

Or do you think we're honestly good enough to spend the entire game in the opposition half?

Some people need to wake up and realise exactly where we are in the football hierarchy, and others need to try looking at the positives we've got for a change.

This completely, I hate people that talk about Goalkeepers saving the game for a team, McLeish brought Foster in at a bit of a risk when he didn't play regular football of any kind and made a good decision.

Carling Cup Final - Foster was MOTM

did we fluke it? NO. i think the entire media was in agreement that we deserved to win. We played better, gave our all, it just happened that our keeper had a stand out game.

The same today, yes Foster was superb, but blues deserved to win. ALL of boltons chances were either shots from outside the box or headers. we scored 2 good goals, had a goal ruled out and Jaaskelainen made a couple of excellent saves himself.

McLeish got it spot on today. He made 2 big decisions, to play parnaby not davies and to start cammy and phillips and BOTH worked a treat

Did we fluke our unbeaten run last year when hart was in such great form?

I wish you lot would wake up and smell the coffee; if we hadn't played Foster, Stephen Carr, Roger Johnson, Stuart Parnaby, Liam Ridgewell, Lee Bowyer, Craig Gardner, Barry Ferguson, Sebastian Larsson, Kevin Phillips, Cameron Jerome, Keith Fahey, David Bentley, Nikola Zigic we would have lost the game - or maybe won it.....

Booby you are so boring...

Ridiculously statement.

Goallys are there to make saves, luckily ours pull off a few great ones.

We would never have lost the game 5-2 at all. Eck has faith in Foster and the defence to stop them scoring 5, which is what they did.

We bossed that game in large spells and they caught us on the break a few times, which we dealt with.

I don't think at this stage it matters how we get the 3 points.

I'd probably start with Phillips at Blackburn. But we desperately need some pace in the side so Jerome and/or Redmond would be nice to see. Important we don't lose next week, but I'd like to see us go for the win.

And we would have lost 1 - 0 without Phillips and Gardner?

Mcleish got it right today, accept it, and maybe, just maybe, shut up complaining for once?!

Well to be honest I think McLeish will be asking a few questions of the team himself why Foster was called on to mae so many good saves.

He isnt going to ignore it. He intimated himself when he said that Foster
"cant be expected to do that every week".

At the end of the day Bolton are a side on form and Sturridge and Davies are on form forwards. When a team has this they will test goalkeepers.

We did really well last year with Jerome and previously when Forsell hit form for a season.

I dont know what you expect of a manager. He can put out a certain team that will have strengths in certain areas to counter the oppositions strengths and weaknesses. He also motivates them and coaches them.

It's then up to the players to take responsibility out on the pitch.

McLeish got us going forward with a lot more intensity and much more shots on target. They were far more threatening.

Foster did help us win the match but again Bolton are a good in form side.

Calling McLeish lucky. Well the team and McLeish were due a bit of luck.

They didnt get much v West Brom where the ball bounced kindly for them on more than one occasion. We didnt get any luck when Davies got taken out in the Wigan penalty area.

Blues 2 Wanderers 1 = Excellent result!!
