I have some questions about your thoughts on Saturday's game if you don't mind: 1) Your views on Birmingham's season so far? 2) Your views on Sunderland's season so far? 3) What would likely be the Birmingham team for Saturday? 4) Any Birmingham player(s) to watch out for? 5) Do you fear any Sunderland player(s)? 6) Where do you predict Birmingham will finish? 7) Where do you predict Sunderland will finish? 8) And finally a score prediction for Saturday? All the best for the rest of the season |

1. disappointed that despite signing Hleb, Bentley, Zigic, Beausejour. none of them have been regulars. not because of poor form but because of injuries and McLeish's tried-and-trusted policy. injuries have really hurt us this season also the style of football has not improved at all. we have no emphasis on how we attack. 2. they started off well but never convinced me they'd finisher in the top 6. from what i've seen of Sunderland in the first half of the season, they look like they can huff and puff for the first half hour and are capable of blowing teams away and run them ragged but not for a full 90 minutes and then generally just fade out of the game. the second half of the season, you can tell they're not really fighting for anything. 3. the same as in the last 2 Birmingham games. i expect Johnson to be fit from his head injury. i have no idea what's going on with Zigic, Beausejour and Martins 4. Larsson's free kicks and crosses, you obviously all know about Phillips. Jerome's pace. Gardner's shoot-on-site policy, Bowyer's sneaky runs into the box 5. Gyan and Malbranque 6. 15th 7. 11th 8. 2-1 Birmingham |

1) Your views on Birmingham's season so far? Mixed, frustrating, exhilarating, dire, dull, fruitful - Basically typical Blues with the added bonus of a cup win. 2) Your views on Sunderland's season so far? You lot have got to be a bit annoyed that you lost your star striker to the historians from Aston and then a drop in form that has seen you go from a good start to a mediocre/poor finish. If I was being honest it strikes me as a typical Steve Bruce season. How many of your players have been played well out of their normal position this season? 3) What would likely be the Birmingham team for Saturday? 11 fit players which mean it could be anyone. Predicting the team can be the easiest thing in the world for us but when we are suffering the injuries that we are at the moment it can become a bit hit and miss. I'd expect to see pretty much the same side out as this weekend with the possibility of a striker or a defender finding fitness. 4) Any Birmingham player(s) to watch out for? nope, you should know about them all by now. *paper* 5) Do you fear any Sunderland player(s)? Cattermole, with the injuries we've got I doubt we can deal with him adding players to that list for us. 6) Where do you predict Birmingham will finish? 12/13th, I'm the optimist. 7) Where do you predict Sunderland will finish? 10th-15th 8) And finally a score prediction for Saturday? 2-1 Birmingham :blues: |

1 - The 2010/11 season will be one that will be remembered for decades to come as we finally won a major trophy after a 48 year wait......We could have done better League wise but a lack of quality in the final third has hindered us 2 - Spent some big money and looked like a potential Europa League candidate, this season saw you pull off a great win at Chelsea......However since the turn of the New Year though, you've plummeted like a stone......A lot must have to do with the sale of Darren Bent I guess although I always felt he was overrrated 3 - Depends on our curent injuries but Foster, Carr, Jiranek, Johnson, Ridgewell, Bentley, Ferguson, Bowyer, Hleb, Beasuejour, Zigic Subs - Doyle, Murphy, Davies, Gardner, Larsson, Phillips, Jerome 4 - Hleb is our most creative player, Bentley and Beasuejour could both shine with good results needed at this stage ,Zigic will be a handful for your defenders and Jerome if he plays has electric pace....KP may start or feature and he can change a game in a flash 5 - Cattermole if he keeps his head , Richardson and Malbranque can be dangerous and Gyan 6 - 11th or 12th 7 - I have no clue, it's such an open fight to stay up with still at least 11 clubs involved, the strongest willed characters will obviously survive ......if you can't stop this slide you might be in big danger but I reckon 14th or 15th 8 - 2-0 to The Blues :blues: |

On a related note, Bruce has admitted his team are now in a relegation scrap 7 days before bringing his Sunderland side to St Andrews....should be a juicy encounter http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/13026648.stm |

1) Winning the League Cup was the greatest day I've ever had as a Blues supporter, and will be something that I will proudly remember to my death; so there's that. Premier League play has been a mixed bag, but as long as we're still in this division come next season I'll be considering the season as a whole a smashing success, with something to really build on. 2) You were off like a shot, and I expected a top half finish, possibly Europa League next season. In a dangerous slide since January, which well and truly could turn perilous. The good news for you is that you have arguably the easiest run in of all the other relegation threatened sides and you should end up comfortably mid-table. 3) With all the injures to consider, it's difficult to predict, but i'll say... Foster, Carr, Roger, Jiranek, Ridgewell, Larsson, Ferguson, Gardner, Bowyer, Phillips, Cam 4) Foster (he'll be the Blues player you'll be most frustrated with following the match) *fingerscrossed* 5) There are a few players you have that Blues should be concerned with, but Gyan is the one I'd consider the most dangerous for footballing reasons, and Cattermole the most dangerous for other reasons. 6) 13th 7) 10th 8) Heart says 2-1 Blues, but a nervy 1-1 would be no surprise. |

1) Your views on Birmingham's season so far? We've finally won a trophy. For me, that makes it a successful season. Our performances in the Premiership have undoubtedly been frustrating. There are glimpses of a side who could really do well, but they are all too rare. More often than not we've been outplayed by mediocre sides, but performed reasonably well against the better opposition (if not always getting a result). 2) Your views on Sunderland's season so far? Despite the loss of Bent, you still have some very talented players in your side. Midway through the season I was thinking that you were heading for a European place. I couldn't have imagined such a dramatic loss of form. But then, you've lost a few games that truthfully could have gone either way, such as last weekend against the Baggies. Like I say, the loss of form has been dramatic, but I still think you've got the ingredients of a good side. 3) What would likely be the Birmingham team for Saturday? 4-4-2 with Jerome and Philips up front. Foster in goal. The rest will be made up of the least injured of our decimated squad. 4) Any Birmingham player(s) to watch out for? Obafemi Martins - if you see him give Alex Mcleish a ring and tell him where he is. 5) Do you fear any Sunderland player(s)? Gyan and Wellbeck. 6) Where do you predict Birmingham will finish? 16th. 7) Where do you predict Sunderland will finish? 10th. The recent terrible form will end soon. 8) And finally a score prediction for Saturday? I think a lot of Blues fans fear that Sunderland will begin their revival at St Andrews. However, while the Baggies and the Barcodes have got results against us at home, most managers would still say that it's not an easy place to come and get points. We managed a nervy win against Bolton at St Andrews, followed by a decent draw away against Blackburn. Only a stupid error gave them an equaliser. But we have a serious injury list. I think this might just be a draw, which wouldn't be the worst result in the world for either team. 2 - 2. |

... ... ... 8. 1-1 A nervy encounter with not many good chances. Possibility that Sunderland may get a 2nd - if so, KP will equalise in injury time (so 2-2) |

I have some questions about your thoughts on Saturday's game if you don't mind: 1) Your views on Birmingham's season so far? Overall, it has been a decent season. The Carling Cup run was fantastic for a club that has never won f all, and it was a brilliant day at Wembley. In the league, I do feel we should have performed a bit better, but last season was alot to live up to 2) Your views on Sunderland's season so far? Started extremely well, and I was impressed with the way you really went at Chelsea in that game at Stamford Bridge. I didn't really expect you to last the distance going for top 6, but I have been quite suprised how dramatically you have fell away 3) What would likely be the Birmingham team for Saturday? Hard to predict at the moment due to all our injuries. I would say the side would probably be similar to the one that started vs Blackburn, with Zigic maybe included if fit 4) Any Birmingham player(s) to watch out for? Well I'm not sure if you have heard of him, but we have an old timer by the name of Kevin Phillips who seems to be able to put the ball in the back of the net when given half a chance  5) Do you fear any Sunderland player(s)? I think Gyan can be a game changer when he is on form, and Wellbeck has looked good to this season up front 6) Where do you predict Birmingham will finish? 16th 7) Where do you predict Sunderland will finish? 9th 8) And finally a score prediction for Saturday? Birmingham 1 - 1 Sunderland Good luck for the rest of the season too! Hope you find your form after the weekend, and smash Wigan, Wolves and West Ham! **thumbup |
