Deeply embarrassing especially after they were so impressed, before doing the game, with the city. |

Did I say we are the only city with a fierce rivalry? None of those taking part in the programme had seen anything like it the countries that they work in. I think it's embarrassing that our club and our city should be shown up on a national TV programme in this way. It's shameful because it doesn't need to happen, it's just the mindless idiots that think a football match is an excuse for a fight and fierce rivalry needs to be shown in violence. I thinks it's upsetting that officers from outside of the UK who had such a high opinion of the city on arrival get shown the ugly side and that the ugly side involves us. I'm assuming that you've got another silly picture that you can put on the end of your response? |

Yeahhh sure, it was pretty bad. But, at the end of the day, there is a select breed of person nowadays that thinks that this is part of football. Im all for a bit of a scuffle and banter, but not a massive fan of the violence we see to be honest. However, what makes a good TV programme will do, and because the Blues Villa game was such a stage (1/4 final of a cup we both wanted) and the damage that was caused, makes it easy to chose the game to video beforehand, them kind of hoping for something like this, so they can get a decent programme. Plus, they are hardly going to say "Ah well, it was worse in Liverpool 5 years ago" or "Yeahh, this is just normal to be honest" Of course it was all, "the most terrifying scenes I have seen in [insert long time here]" Have you not seen that programme Road Wars? A simple crash on the motorway is described as the moment "A large metal death machine was catapulted across the highway, wiping out anything in its tracks, we gave ourself no chance of survival, as the car narrowly skimmed our vehicle, we were lucky to live to tell the tale" Mountain, molehill, thats all i'm saying. It does happen everywhere, and we are not the worst. However, doesnt make it right still. |

Lets be Honest it was one man who said as he looked out of his hotel window in pitch darkness he was impressed with Brum,I have lived here for 40 years and one thing i am is NOT impressed with it,Try using the 3rd world public transport or finding clean parks, streets, walls ect ,As for the Aggro what did it show,Kids jumping on a fence,a police car with a chip in the windscreen and a few kids running around,I have seen far worse on broad st on a fri/sat night. :drink: |

I just hope a few people saw friends and familiy or themselves on TV and thought hang on a minute it's a game of footall. What am/are I/they doing behaving like this? Everyone wants a good atmosphere, supporting the team with 25,000+ people rallying you is a very powerful presence and in return hopefully the team and fans get a good result. After 90+ minutes thats it there is no excuses for throwing missiles, raising your hand or intimidating anyone whether your happy with the result or not. Fair or unfair you have to accept the results. It does us absolutely no good at all making excuses like "same thing happens at other clubs" or we are more harshly treated than others... etc We have to set our own standards. It is an absolute travesty that Birmingham City and Villa supporters cannot attend a football match without violence now being regarded as part and parcel of it. Next time Villa come to Blues WE have to get our attitude right. We as fans have to be up for the game and wanting to beat our rivals. Afterwards we thank them for the match and go home. It's down to US we have to stop thinking it's okay to hurt another fan. There isnt a problem at Fulham. There is no reason why Birmingham City cannot adopt similar principles without losing its competitive edge. :blues: |

That's not really the point, what is the point that it was shown on a national TV station that we have idiots that don't know/can't behave and have a rivalry that doesn't involve fighting in the streets. It's pitiful the behaviour of our own supporters as well as those from across the city. I doubt anyone that took part in the violence before, during and after the game give a damn - however I would hope that the majority who weren't involved are as shamed as I am that our clubs name and our cities name is being dragged through the mud by idiots. |

Nope it showed images of the pitch invasion, officers being attacked and aerial images of fan stand off as well as a volley of missiles being thrown. It also spoke of the injuries suffered by the police. Hardly just kids! |

As for the comment about Broad Street, perhaps that is also something we should be ashamed of. A small minority of people who don't give a damn about others will always spoil it for the vast majority of people who do know how to conduct themselves in public. As for the Blues/Villa incidents there will always be those who will try to justify the antics of mindless idiots out to cause trouble. Thankfully, there are still sufficient sane people around who are prepared to stand up and be counted by condemning such behaviour. |

What an Ignorant post, Birmingham is light years ahead of every other city in the UK outside London. Leeds, Manchester and Liverpool's leaders came here to see what we had done and how they could copy us. Clean Parks? Try Sutton Park, Canon Hill or Pype Hayes, not to mention the BRAND NEW park being built at Millenium point. Clean streets? try the ENTIRE CITY CENTRE! From the Bullring to Five ways. Its spotless, and usually full with thousands upon thousands of tourists. Or maybe visit some of the nicer suburbs such as Edgebaston or Sutton Coldfield. We have the best Bars, best Clubs, best Restaurants, best Conference facilities, best Galleries outside London, not to mention one of the best Symphony Hall's in the WORLD, it Rivals New York for god sake! Our city is literally bursting with Culture,. Our Public Transport is currently being upgraded with the best part of a BILLION pounds being spent on New Street station, the Midland Metro is about to start being extended too. Also the city centre is going to have several Hubs built for the bus services. Hardly 3rd world. |

I love our city. It's gritty and a no-nonesens city. We don't mess about, we get on with it. I don't care what anyone says about Brum, because i know they would never say a bad word about our city if they were here, they would be way too scared! |

Filming this documentary perhaps explains why there was a distinct "lack of police" at the perimeter of the pitch when the final whistle went. |

haven't seen the show yet, but saw the ozzie copper at the wolves game. He seemed ok... we had a bit of banter about the ashes as it hadn't long started! but got to say he looked out of his depth walking under the subway... guessing this is what the show was all about?? |

3rd world was an exaggeration, but our transport network in Birmingham is s**t!!! Getting around from two places in the city without a direct bus link becomes a huge hassle on public transport compared to in the car. And there are quite alot of places in the city without a train station. And even with the trains - if the two places you want to travel between are not on the same line, you pretty much always have to travel into the city centre to change. Compare that to London where there are several different change points between lines in the underground etc. For a city our size i really do think we need a bigger train network, or even something like the underground similar to London. |
