Watched it at 4am this morning after missing the repeats last night. I can't understand all the hype over what was a average documentary tbh.

As for the current state of brum I have to say that all my london mates that have been down for a night out absolutely love it.

I was also in luton the other day and the taxi driver that picked me up couldn't stop going on about brindley place and broad st.

I have in the past knocked the city but in all honesty it cannot be compared to london on any level. Instead the city should be striving to make sure that next to london brum is the place to be.

I dont know why people are getting so wound up. This type of rubbish happens all over the country. We were just unlucky enough (as usual)to get filmed. Its a pity the documentary teams werent mob handed at the old firm derby a few weeks back. It makes our "problems" the equivalent of the muppet show in comparison.

Deeply embarrassing especially after they were so impressed, before doing the game, with the city.

Lets be Honest it was one man who said as he looked out of his hotel window in pitch darkness he was impressed with Brum,I have lived here for 40 years and one thing i am is NOT impressed with it,Try using the 3rd world public transport or finding clean parks, streets, walls ect ,As for the Aggro what did it show,Kids jumping on a fence,a police car with a chip in the windscreen and a few kids running around,I have seen far worse on broad st on a fri/sat night. :drink:

What an Ignorant post, Birmingham is light years ahead of every other city in the UK outside London. Leeds, Manchester and Liverpool's leaders came here to see what we had done and how they could copy us.

Clean Parks? Try Sutton Park, Canon Hill or Pype Hayes, not to mention the BRAND NEW park being built at Millenium point.
Clean streets? try the ENTIRE CITY CENTRE! From the Bullring to Five ways. Its spotless, and usually full with thousands upon thousands of tourists.
Or maybe visit some of the nicer suburbs such as Edgebaston or Sutton Coldfield.

We have the best Bars, best Clubs, best Restaurants, best Conference facilities, best Galleries outside London, not to mention one of the best Symphony Hall's in the WORLD, it Rivals New York for god sake!

Our city is literally bursting with Culture,.

Our Public Transport is currently being upgraded with the best part of a BILLION pounds being spent on New Street station, the Midland Metro is about to start being extended too. Also the city centre is going to have several Hubs built for the bus services. Hardly 3rd world.

Well said. I love this City and wouldn't change a thing about it!!!!

i would KICK THE VILE OUT of it :LMAO:

For those complaining about Brum's public transport as an ex pat living in mexico Brum's transport is superb compared with here where the one metro line crosses the city and nobody uses it because nobody thought about the routes and there are 2 multi million dollar stations unused because they are in the middle of an industrial wasteland. You have to take three buses to go anywhere and if you take a taxi on the street you are at risk of being robbed or kidnapped.
Give me the 37 bus anyday of the week every 6 minutes comfortable and fast from Solihull to Brum and with a travelcard very cheap as well.

Sums it up for me, some people don't realise everything is never going to be perfect.
