If we can take 3 points on Saturday survival will be in touching distance. Trouble is it's against Sunderland and Bruce. Again it's going to be a tough one is my view. I think because Sunderland have had a run of bad results some feel we have an automatic win on our hands. This simply isnt the case and Bruce will be working all week to ensure their defence stands up well. They also have forwards who are getting goals. Again its up to our front 6 to go out there and prove themselves good enough. The defence can give us a chance of keeping us in this league but those guys have to ensure we stay here. We really have to look to beat Sunderland on Saturday. We have to ensure we play offensively put Sunderland under pressure, create and take our chances. I think Bruce will prepare his side to expect a hard game so we must make sure we are the ones that win the midfield battles. If we pass the ball well, get forward and engage with the Sunderland back 4 in numbers we will cause them problems. It will be an interesting one for Phillips. Will he really be up for hammering his old club as much as we want him to? This is a real chance for us we must make sure we dont falter now. Come on Blues :blues: |

Sunderland have shocking form coming into this game, if we cannot beat these we need a serious look at ourselves. |

Why do you have to jump on every post with your infantile rants at everything Mcleish and Blues I am a big Eck fan and believe he will make us a successful "footballing" team, but it will take IMO. 5-10 years for his plan to come to fruition. At the end of the day i am first and foremost a blues fan. And no matter what happens i will be renewing my season ticket at the end of this season and every season after that i can . KRO :blues: |

With games running out....this game has actually become a massive one for both clubs We have a very good record against Sunderland at St Andrews and I expect the run to continue ........They haven't beaten us in a League game at SA since 1997 although they did win a FA Cup replay on our soil back in 2004 Three points will go a long way to survival And this time I expect a bigger margin of victory for the Boys in Blue....3-0 :blues: |

If we win then I would say that realistically we should be safe especially with a game in hand |

Nothing else is acceptable to be honest, Sunderland are in the worst form of their season something like one point out of a possible 25. |

All of which could change with any game. We have no god given right to beat them, and it will be anything but an easy game. |

I definately think we are capable of winning this one, but in these games it sometimes doesnt always go the way you would like it to and how you would expect it to go. Sunderland will be a wounded animal on saturday after that West Brom defeat and will be looking to make amends. They have players in their side that on their day could easily be playing in a top four side. It will be no stroll in the park and i hope we go in to the game with the same focus as we had versus Bolton. Injuries again will dictate what side we put out i suspect, hope we can put the same side out that started versus Bolton at home but depending on fitness would possibly start Curtis Davies at Centre half alongside Johnson and move Ridgewell to left back? other than that change i would keep the same side. It would be sweet if Phillips could get on the scoresheet to keep the mackems under the cosh I'm going for a nervy 2-1 win for Blues :kro: |

Whenever a team comes to St Andrews who are having a bad run of form, we end it for them. We're gonna lose this game :( |

Fingers crossed for a win, they have plenty of injuries and lets hope they get nobody back for Saturday. Depending on who is fit, big decisions at the selection table for AMC. If Johnson and Jiranek are fit they have to start in central defence with Ridgewell back on the left. Not too sure if we will have anyone else available in the middle or up front? If Beau or Hleb are fit would not surprise me to see AMC go 4-5-1 |

This is possibly the biggest game of our season. It will be vital that we win the game and keep the pressure on the teams below us. I think saturday could sort a few things out and we may see a bit of a gap develop between the bottom teams and those that can pull away fingers crossed we can pull away a bit :blues: |

I think this could be a draw. I honestly dont think that would be a disaster either. 36-points with home games against Wolves and Fulham to come. Some have predicted that 42-points will be needed to survive, which I now think is very achievable, but it still wouldn't shock me if 38/39 points turned out to be enough. |
