Birmingham City v Sunderland Sunderland are probably where Birmingham were a few weeks ago - on a slippery slope after a really poor run of form. Birmingham went and got a win and a draw in their last two games, which has started to take the pressure off them at the bottom of the table, and Sunderland badly need to do the same. I think everyone knows when this Sunderland slump began. They beat Blackpool in their first game after selling striker Darren Bent to Aston Villa for £24m in January, but they have not won since. But I am backing the Black Cats to pick up a draw here, and maybe start a mini revival. Their manager Steve Bruce is under a bit of pressure but I certainly don't see them being relegated - everyone else from 11th-place downwards in the Premier League has had a similar sort of run this season, and this is just their turn. A point for Birmingham is a good result too - it just keeps them ticking over, and I cannot see them going down either. Prediction: Birmingham City 1-1 Sunderland According to Lawro's predictions for the season, this would put Birmingham in 16th place on 29 points, while Sunderland would be in 13th place on 37 points. In fact, Birmingham go into the game in 16th place on 35 points while Sunderland are in 13th place on 38 points. Full details of all Lawro's 2010-11 predictions, together with how the League Table would look like if he was correct available here... Lawro's 2010-11 Predictions |

I'd tend to agree with his prediction, but why does anyone care of his predictions week in week out. |

i have gone for a 2-0 blues win, my wife says a draw. we have a little bet between us as to which team scores first in the 3-00pm premier kick offs. i have gone for birmingham and the missus went for blackpool. afterwards we both said we thought it would be chelsea but we didnt want to tempt fate. |

A point today would be better than the point we got last week imo...... Blackburn have been around us all season really where as Sunderland have been mid table and above but are on a bad run right now...... Still annoyed we didnt get a win last week.... |

"i have gone for a 2-0 blues win." I'm with you Maulley on this one. Really fancy us to have a two goal win. On the other hand, it could be 3-1. |
