I hear that ESPN have got the rights to games? Bit disappointed that it's on a channel I refuse to buy.

Kenny Dalgliesh's daughter is the anchorperson.

As she is female then she's the anchorwoman.

I was always taught in English to be precise and concise. We know her gender so she is anchorwoman. Anchorperson is vague indicating the gender is not known.

I was always taught in English to be precise and concise. We know her gender so she is anchorwoman. Anchorperson is vague indicating the gender is not known.

It is the prerequisite of the writer to choose and utilise their own understanding of words.

'Anchorperson' is a gender-nuetral term. Such as Chairperson etc.

Terms like that are often used when the gender of a person is not relevant to the issue at hand.

Still, glad to see that you were taught, even if it was in the dark ages friend :D
