We are 5 points clear of the bottom 3 on 38 points with us and Wolves (bottom) having a game in hand - I think one win and 1-2 draws will keep us up

1 more win or 3 draws will be enough.

Cant see west ham, blackpool, wolves or wigan getting past 40

You can make a case for any team getitng above 40 points, but Blues have now made it a lot easier for themselves, and are in no more trouble than the likes of Sunderland, Stoke and Villa, whereas a fortnight ago they were in deep trouble.

Today gives us breathing space that the next game isn't a 'must win'.

For me it looks like Wolves, Blackpool and one of Wet Spam, Wigan or Blackburn.

Wigan have got a fairly easy run in (relatively). Wolves have a game in hand over some other teams. So I reckon more than 1 win is needed, I reckon 42-43 points.

42-44 has been my target for the past however many weeks.

1 Win, 2 Draws.. or 2 wins (home games) or something.

We're in a decent position, with two winnable (but still tricky) games at home... the past few games have been massive (Bolton win, Blackburn draw and Sunderland win)

I still say 39 will be enough, how the hell can the bottom 3 get anymore than a win and say 2 draws............ they will probably get 4 more points each,so 37 at best. :)

We still need all the points we can get. the way this seasons going I would say we need at least 6 more points to be safe.

The goal differnce is worth an extra point as well.
We MUST NOT ship a load of goals in our next couple of games. I'd rather park the bus and possibly lose by one or two goals than go gung ho and lose heavily (as we did at manure).
Having said that - I sort of fancy us to sneak a point at Chelsea, although it will very much depend on how Kna**ered the first choice players are after today. And we often do well againt Liverpool - so who knows! :kro:

I originally thought that 42/43 points for safety, but if you look at the fixtures, they all have to play each other, 40 will now be safe IMO, it would mean they ALL would have to win 3 games, now that is totally unrealistic due to the fact they are playing each other IMO, maybe one or two will win three games, such as Wigan, but that still leaves enough teams down there who won't win more than 3 games, but we do need at least one more win to make sure we are not involved in it.

I think we can go to both Chelsea and Liverpool and get positive results. In fact I think both are winnable.

If we go their play as a team, determined to play well and without fear we can beat both of these teams.

Come On Blues

Rubbish seating JK **thumbup

Mind you, it's probably rubbish all around at the CB !

We should start a thread on the best Away Seats. :D

Mine would be Everton - 1979

Best seats I ever had other than the Box at Blues.

:o

The seats at Everton now are s**t!

Blackburn werent too good last week either right at the back - the roof is too low and cut off the view of the stand at the other end!

Best away seats in the Prem goes to Wigan for me I think!

Look up the table now.

With the table so tight every additional point we get can move us up the table and each place in the table is worth a pile of money.

Everything to play for -

.... including keeping out of the bottom three, even if I am trying to encourage a positive upward looking mindset.

Come on you BLUES **thumbup
