To be fair remember to "uproar" when he was with us and waved at the Man Utd fans as they were winning 3-1 a few years ago.

If it had of been a blues manager who waved to his former team while blues were losing I would be peeved so I can understnd why he didnt.

A song should have been sung before the game but during should have been about our lads and eck and then another for brucie after but during is a bit off

I must admit this game seemed to split opinion. I felt we were good for the win but one or two others I have talked to recon we were lucky. I thought on the balance of play we were worth the win. I felt it was only the first 20 mins of the first half that we were really under the cosh.

Gotta love Big Eck for waving for him though, it was brilliant!

I loved the 'Let's all wave at Alex' chants too.

To be fair, Bruce is under a lot of pressure at the moment. Sunderlands fans aren't exactly being understading with their current problems... Neither would our fans though.

I think we should give Brucie the benefit of the doubt on this one. :)

His team is on a losing streak and we are beating them.

Im sure Bruce didnt mean any disrespect but you cant expect any manager to wave to the fans of the opponents while they are beating you.

He probably thought we were taking the mickey and to some extent we were.

We had a good day but he had a bad day. Lets not kick the guy when he's down.

The fact that he just folded he arms was dignified I bet he wanted to tell us where to get off to be honest. It isnt always pleasant to be on the receiving end of football banter no matter how well meant.

I have the utmost respect for Brucie, he did a good job while he was our manager. He's welcome to our club any day and the area of Solihull where he was always out and about.

I thought he gave a little wave. Which was greeted by a cheer and then "Alex give us a wave" to which he obliged and then followed "lets all wave at Alex, lets all wave at Alex lalalala"

Will always have the utmost respect for Brucie. He took us from being an underachieving Championship club to a Premiership Club. He made us feel as if we belong, and he brought some great years of football, with the likes of Dugarry and Forssell.

Yes he took us down, and the fact that he walked away from us may have soured some opinions, but he never recovered from the loss of Savage. Without Brucie we wouldn't be where we are now, end of.

Spot on **thumbup to be honest the "give us a wave" was a ***take, if we had been losing no Bruce songs would have been chanted.

Much as I admire Brucie you'd think he could've been a little gracious in defeat - he didn't even mention us in his post match spiel!

I think he was gracious. they should have got all 3 points out of that. Outplayed us for almost all of the game.

Can you imagine Wenger being like Bruce was after the game had they outplayed us and we beat them

Good to hear from someone who hasn't either been sniffing glue or suffered brain damage at birth. Cheers for that- I was beginning to feel lonely.
