Now I just wanna say I'm not trying to slate him as he has been great since he come. But lately am I right in saying his form has dropped and he seems to be putting the back four under pressure with sloppy passes?

What do you guys think?

I think we have to consider he is playing with broken ribs.. They dont just heal overnight..

He isnt playing as well as earlier in the season though, but to play great 38 games a season is quite impressive. Still contender for Player of the Season.

No doubt about it. Maybe it's the ribs. I voted Carr but him, Carr and Foster are up for it. Oh and Gardner!!!!

Yeah, i voted for Carr, just for the sheer story behind his season. He played in some great teams over the years, but you can just imagine this season will be the one he is most fond of.

A dip in form yes
Understandable - kind of, since he he been playing with broken ribs since the cup final

As anyone who has broke a rib will attest, EVERYTHING hurts when your ribs are broken, they can be taped and pain killers injected but it is still panful sitting still, walking, lying, doing any form of activity. Even the slighest movement in the night will wake you from a deep sleep.

There is a chance, a very good chance, he is not sleeping well, training light, feeling generally !"£$.

This is why we need quality in depth so in instances like this (and carrs broken toe) we have other players who can take over

Well I think in general he hasnt hit the heights of last season when I think he was arguably the best midfielder in the premier league, he was in superb form.

This season he is still doing a great job for us and will always be the first name on the teamsheet if fit. He turns us into much more of a footballing side instead of hoof and hope.

He has had broken ribs which will hamper him considering he is still managing to get through games he is doing an amazing job.

However I think Fergie would probably be thinking deep down that compared to his usual high standards he had a bit of a mare today.

The great thing is Fergie will be absolutely gutted and he will be out to do his best to set the record straight against Chelsea. Mistakes are never good as they can lead to you getting punished but seeing as we got away with it. I'll accept him having an off day by his standards and Im looking forward to his response going into two very tough matches.

Bazza is still the best footballer at the club.

Come on Fergie go for it mate!!

His passing today wasn't the best but his heading/knock downs were superb.
