I was thinking the same when watching Lampard the other day. It's a pity we are so well stocked in that area internationally, otherwise I'm sure he would get a call up (If he were Welsh, Irish, or Scottish I'm certain he would!) |

He sure knows where the net is from 18-30 yards out - great part of our side. Keep up the excellent play Craig. KRO |

Its like someone said on the radio after the game on Saturday If you made a DVD of all his goals, they would all be the same Its the effort and skill he also shows that make him such an important player |

Not quite all the same: Saturday's version was with his left foot which is pleasing given that most players use their weaker foot for standing only. Was it his ninth, incidentally? If so that's some return for a guy who hasn't featured in all our matches. |

Does that include all the times he gives the ball away or makes reckless challenges that could result in a card Got to love Blues fans Always stuck in cement in admiration and praise for the "local lad" who would run through a brick wall but possesses very little talent yet are equally eager to see the back of talent like Hleb, Bentley and Curtis Davies Only at the Blues they say :LMAO: :LMAO: |

I agree that Gardner hasn't got anything like the natural ability of the guys you mention, Parti, but his goalscoring record alone should nail down a place for him. |

Misplaced argument here. Gardner possesses very little talent? All players that make a large number of tackles are going to make more bad or mistimed ones compared to players that don't put their foot in. And why do you mention Curtis Davies, any flak he has come in for has been deserved and justified. Ridge is back in the centre for a reason. |

I couldnt careless if he come from Mars to be honest, and the same players you mention couldnt hold a candle to what he brings the team, in the position he has been playing in and what he has been asked to do. Ok so he hasnt the talent of some of those you mention, but if you think those same players would keep you in this league, with the battle we have been in then fine but I'll see you in the Championship if thats the case. If I were to see Bentley or Hleb playing centre midfield, asking to get his foot in, go box to box, then we probably would have been relegated by now And all those reckless tackles you mention LOL. A total of 1 red and 6 yellows. Is that so bad playing the role he does in the centre of midfield? Its like saying if CJ had scored a few more of the one on ones he has had then he would have been top scorer |
