Now is your time. This is probably your best opportunity to break into the first team squad.

Work hard, play less and those shirts can be yours and the fans will adore you more than those that are only there for their pay packet.

We will need a massive squad for next season with the Europe League, Carling Cup defence, FA Cup and the Championship, and you guys can be right there in the thick of the action.

Yes, let's hope these kids can force the tired old codgers out of our midfield.

Redmond/Newsigning Mutch Gardner Beausejour

Young and pacey but retaining defensive cover and work rate. Let's hope Mcleish sees it the same way. Now is the time for ferguson to move over, similar to lee carsley. We need to start again, younger and fresher. Gardner will be our top scorer imo next season

Hows that for a midfield curley?

Also hopefully Valles, Shroot and Jervis (where is he?) might come to fruition?

Whatever happens, with lack of funds and some players leaving/retiring we will have no choice but to use these younger players, just depends which ones...

They probaly won't get any time on the pitch, I'm sure Mcleish has his shortlist of 30+year old players ready. -.-

Apparently he's in the transfer market for some zimmer frames for our vibrant midfield.

It wouldn't surprise me if Redmond was sent out on loan, same with Jervis and Asante. He is under immense pressure to get us up, if people think he will start taking risks now I think you will be disappointed.

I agree 100%, McLeish won't take risks.... he'll sign a load of 30+ year olds who will struggle to play a number of games in a row, added to the domestic games we have Europe aswell, It will only be one game Imo tho but Its an extra match non the less......

We will struggle!!!

why do you think amc has had to sign players 30+ or on loan he hasn't had the money, the fact is if we had signed miccoli dembele n'zogbia we wouldn't of gone down i blame the board.

Not many teams outside the top 4 get their first choice targets but their managers get the best out of what they can get. McLeish though? Don't do this......

Relegated twice In 3.5 years...... nothing else needs to be said..... Not good enough....

Miccoli is the wrong side of 30 and wanted to stay with his club, Dembele didn't want to come and was intent on moving to London and Zog tried to pull a fast one and Eck pulled the plug.

Obviously the boards fault.

If you trust your youth players to play a meaningful role in the first team season they often surprise you in a good way, as with most youth however you can't expect too much too soon.

I'd certainly think Mutch will play a big part next season after his spells at Doncaster and Watford were so impressive.

I hoped this last time we went down, we had a few youngsters around then, they were all bombed out after pre-season.

You'll be lucky to see Mutch anywhere on the pitch, despite being Watford's shining light in the Championship last season.

Give Bowyer another year Eck, lets spend another season watching him wheezing and coughing his guts up after 25 minutes kicking anything in sight. If he doesn't get in the middle of midfield you'll play him on the left instead of an actual winger!

You have got to remember that Redmond and Asante are still young 16/17 so don't expect them to get a lot of game time. Some peole forget they have been on the bench so I'm sure Eck will play them at times.

I expect big things from Mutch, he played something like 19 games for Watford in the Championship earlier this season and didn't look out of place. He will play regularly next season.

Unlike some of you I expect Ferguson to be vital and do the job that Lee Carsley did in the season we last won promotion.

Blackburn spent 3m, we spent pushing 30m with loans. They will be going to Man U next year, we will be going to Doncaster. He has had money.

Mutch will get game time, Redmond and Asante will probably go out on loan to League 1 team for the first half of the season and then be involved in the second of the season. Kerr might get game time as well, could get a few games if we lose both Johnson and Dann. I am sure a few of the other youngster might be in and around the squad next year.

I disagree entirely, Bowyer gives it his all every game, and was great in the CC Final. Although i do agree that he shouldn't be played out wide.

:blues:

Yes, he was excellent in the CC Final but a pile of garbage for most of the Premiership. I'm absolutely delighted to hear news of his departure and I look forward to hearing something simliar about his partner in crime.
