So glad Alex McLeish is got his job till the end of the season at least. His target is to achieve promotion, not too harsh an expectation.

Now, I'm actually looking forward to next season.

If we rebuild in the summer and Jan transfer markets, buy or loan a decent striker, and rebuild.

I would keep key players such as Foster, Gardner, Zigic, Dann, Johnson, and other key players.

I would like to see players like Mutch, Redmond and Asante get their chance, perhaps even Butland. We should be able to gain promotion automatically, possibly even winning the league.

I think McLeish will, again, fire us back into the big league.

As long as we rebuild and strengthen for the future, we will be fine.

We will need a big squad next season, for Championship most importantly, but also Carling Cup, FA Cup and Europa League. We can do it!!

Keep right on till the end...

The fact is though mate, the moeny it costs to get relegated, I can only see us keeping one, maybe two of Foster, Dann, Johnson, and Zigic.

Id go for Foster and Zigic, but we will see I guess, hopefully we can keep more.

Really can't see us keeping zigic, to be honest especially on 50k a week.

The injury might enable us to keep Dann until Christmas. I think Johnson will go, but Foster may stay as he doesn't seem overly ambitious (rejected England, prefers to be away from the Man Utd intensity etc). If Zigic were to stay then fine, if he were to go his sale should provide enough to buy a reliable championship striker as a replacement. I think Jerome will go, another means of getting funds for a striker. Davies won't go and if we could keep Jiranek we would have the best centre-back pairing in the championship. If Mutch steps up as he should, and Beausejour stays (he hasn't yet made sufficient mark to spark a scramble for him) then we have the nucleus of a side capable of promotion. If Asante, Jervis and Redmond are deployed wisely we could be okay, but we need to be positive, and that's what worries me.

Great to see someone else looking forward. I do think McLeish has to review some things. I think he will need to look at playing more attacking football.
I think he can do this in the championship. People say McLeish was very defensive this season but in all honestly without Dann our back 4 was not the safest.

I also think people dont fully appreciate the quality of forwards we have been up against. One opening and it's curtains. Pav's goal yesterday was exceptional
But he was still 15 yards out when he hit it. This is the quality of the strikers and paying 12m-14m for that standard of player is not beyond reason.

Of course if the club cant afford it then there is nothing that can be done.

As regards the football we played in the championship last time. Lets face it they nearly all went when we came back up to the premier league. Total rebuilding job. I think Mutch, Redmond and Asante could show themselves now. Davis will be a good buy for us his last two games for us he has done really well.

I think we need to get a good striker to help weigh in with the goals needed. I certainly hope we can keep Foster.

I dont want to just get promoted from the championship I think we must aim to win it outright.

Keep Right On
