I am finally in a place where I can type though the tears...

its all very well making comments, and also speculating that we will bounce straight back up, but that's a pretty naive statement to make at this stage given that :

Based on the current squad - yes I could see us going straight back up, but we wont have the current squad will we? No Larson, Martins etc - will 'big names' leave, or even be asked to leave to free up funds and wages (Foster, Johnson and the like). Then there is the case of Cameron Jerome... did nothing last season, and although I like the lads work ethic and don't doubt his passion for us as a club he had terrible season - but in the Championship he may be get to a form expected of a striker.

Then there is Europe do we forget about this, and build a team capable of winning promotion or do we 'mix and match' to see if we can achieve that and some sort of victory in Europe.

So while I would LOVE us to go straight back up there are, at this stage so many un answered questions - players, money to spend etc, that I feel statements like this are unhelpful and only help in fuelling the negative people amongst us.

One last thing, even if we do win promotion next season, we would need assurances (not just promises) that the money would be there to build a 'Premiership' team, and dare I say it, a Premiership 2nd team to accommodate injuries and suspensions.

So lets forget about the hell that has been this last part of the season, take heart from the fact that we have actually won something this season, and look forward to next season - making a fresh impact. But one thing is for sure - we DO need, even now, to start planning to getting off to a flying start next season.

KRO and have a great summer!
