My Blueprint To Make Blues Great Again

OK so the current business plan has failed. Here's what I'd do to make Blues great again. go back to basics, instill a bit of pride. Please note: some of the ideas may contravene current law, my attitude is," See you in court."

1. Ditch the Europa next season, concentrate only on the league. Play reserve teams in both cups.

2. Sack Eck

3. Rip out seats and bring in a standing area.

3. Give a section of the ground to the supporters club to sell at the prices they see fit, like the ultras in Italy. Tenner a head?

4. Only recruit players born in Mercia. Similar to what Yorkshire used to do.

5. Only talk to the local press, don't play murdochs game.

6. Have an open audition for places every summer. Bring your boots and impress the club.

7. Ditch all razzmatazz (except for 8)

8. Bring back blue nose as the official mascot, ditch the dog thing.

9. Scrap the programme, issue a scorecard with entry.

10. Scrap all the other pointless magazines.

11. Ban lager from the ground. If you don't drink Bitter or mild (or wine for the ladies only). This will stop football's slide into a moral abyss.

12. Ensure that all the players have decent haircuts (nothing over grade 4), and ban all players from using facespace or tweeting. No player to own a car worth more than 25 grand.

That'll do for a start.

...lose all the players. Become a cracking and highly novel Blue Square team.

Here's my plan: Set aside training days where all the players do is play capture the flag.

You of course need some good team D for capture the flag but you'll only lose if no one goes forward and tries to capture the flag in the opponents half. Presto, we learn how cross the half line.
