Sunday was one of the lowest points for me as a City fan. Some people think there needs to be an inquest in to how, follow our Carling Cup win, we capitulated and were dragged down in to the relegation battle.

We've stated our intent & we're keeping McLeish which I personally feel is the right way to go about things. We've got 40m in funds for the close season & I'm going to put my neck on the line and say we have some of the best facilities & of course fans in this league. Yes Sunday was hard but we have the ability to make a swift return like Newcastle did a couple of seasons ago.

Yes, going to places such as Nottingham Forest, Millwall & Hull doesn't seem that appealing but I'm looking forward to next Season. I think with the right signings & a slight alteration in the way we approach the game it's going to be an enjoyable campaign.

It's time to put Sunday behind us and focus on the task in hand, a quick return to the Barclays Premier League. Let's get behind the board, the players & the manager from the first kick to the last next Season and go back to where we belong!

Please don't lynch me for the positivity.

Where on earth do you get that £40m from? We have no money :banghead:

Though Millwall away will be quite tasty :dancer:

I'm not going to lynch you for positivity, but where on earth did you find the statement:

"we've got funds of £40 million"

I think you'll find that we need to sell just to meet our obligations, never mind money for players. There is no mention of that figure anyway except Pannu's statement where he used that figure as the total for investment up to now - not a future projected figure.

Also, facilities. We're pretty much on a par in terms of fan base (that actually attend games) and stadium with Leicester, Forest, Derby and probably behind Leeds and West Ham.

I'm all for being positive, but you can be realistic AND positive.

How dare you!!

Your right. Depending on how our squad looks for the coming season I feel that we could make a good go of it and try and break back into the Prem.

But its football, its happened to all teams at some stage in their history. Doesn't make me love the club less, doesn't make me want to see them less. Hell if we got relegated to non-league football in a few years, I would still be there and proud for supporting my club. I like being able to compete against the giants but it that's life, it doesn't always go in your favour. I would be no more happy supporting Man U then the Blues. It's our home people, that's not going to change. KRO

IF we dump all our top earners I would have thoughjt the manager will have ten million TOPS to spend.
Bear in mind we have just dropped twenty mill worth of revenue even taking into account the parachute payments.
